So I didn't make the switch to Chrome from Firefox forever ago because there were a bunch of little things I had grown accustomed to in Firefox and couldn't personalize in quite the same way in Chrome. Now I'm trying to make the switch and these same things keep coming up. So here are the issues I'm having, and I'm hoping someone here might be able to offer solutions to any/all of them.
1) When clicking on a link to open it in a new tab, I don't want it to jump to the new tab. I want the new tab to open, but I stay on my current tab. I can't find a preference setting for this.
2) I don't know the name of this, but in Mac OS there is a feature allowing you to scroll by putting two fingers on the track pad, and using three fingers will allow you to scroll directly to the top or bottom of a page. However, in Chrome (and Safari, actually), this does not work for me. It did in Firefox. (EDIT: Actually, I doubt this even has anything to do with my operating system, though maybe I'm wrong.)
3) On my bookmarks bar across the top of the screen, all the bookmarks have both the labels I've given them AND little icons. I want the icons gone, because they take up too much space. Is this possible?
That's all I've got for now, though I might encounter more later.

If you have a scroll wheel on your mouse and click the link with it, it'll open the link in a new tab. CTRL-left click does the same. There's no option to make that the default behavior.

Looks like people have asked for it and been told no. People have tried the other way - if you can have recognizable icons, you can just delete the text to save space.
Regarding the bookmarks, a workaround which is actually my preference is to just create folders of bookmarks in the bookmark bar. The bar doesn't get too full, there is plenty of space for as many or few bookmarks as you want, and they stay nice and organized.

I've used Titan's EPG as recently as this last January with WinDVR2. Thing is, there is a patch for it (at least the WinDVR2 had one). Something about expiring something something or other.
