Ever since Benoit came back I've been getting serious 4H vibes. Originally I thought it was going to be Eddie, Benoit, Flair and someone with AA as the JJ Dillon. Now that won't happen for sure, but I'm guessing the Horsemen will be back at some point.

It actually works nicely for Benoit. A heel group, you can have tag-teams, singles guys, a mouthpiece for the group, an 'Enforcer'. It is an arena to showcase Benoit's strengths and hide his weaknesses.

I just can't figure out how they're going to do it. There's a half-dozen or more guys who would work (from Jericho to Big Show to Lesnar to ??) any ideas on how they could do this? or when? or how?

Why do people want old stables to return. Now, is the time for the WWE to come up with new ideas, not rehash old ones.

Well, I'm just going on the typical WWE mindset - 'If it worked then, it'll work now'. My initial thought upon hearing that the nWo was reforming was, Ah, shit. But on hearing Benoit talk about the 4H, my reaction was 'That could be cool.'

I agree, that they need to come up with new ideas. It looks like we're going to see a lot of new faces, Bautista, Cena, O'Haire, Johnny the Bull, Noble, et al. - However, they still have to do something with the veterans. And I always found that there was serious entertainment value in stables if they were done right (Heenan family, 4 Horsemen, etc.) I think that the WWE can mix new ideas with staples and have it work.

Old stables don't need to return. In my experience they're always ruined. I don't wanna' EVER see the Flock, 4 Horsemen, DX (again) on my tv screen. It only ends in heartache when people who haven't seen the stables don't understand the hype (in the case of the nWo, people who hadn't seen them not understanding the hype and not being impressed with the follow through). So, my message to the WWE is, DON'T REHASH OLD STABLES!

Now, as for me crossing my fingers hoping Booker and Goldust do this "Freaks" stable with Kane later, I'm all for it (unless Booker has to play second banana to Kane, that would suck). WWE, new stables are fine, old stables are not. Old Stable, don't ruin. New orignal Stable=Do That Shit.

It's like the whole "New Hotness" "Old and Busted" argument.

you can reform a good stable.... if you had most of the members still around or in good shape. Flair and Anderson.... aren't enought to reform a good 4 horsemen. So it's better off if another stable forms.

I've torn myself apart.... and tried to figure out why... but the only answer i was ever given... that really fits..... is the fact... that women are crazy.

No. No more Horseman. I think the previous 74798 incarnations of Flair, AA and 2 buddies is enough.

Yeah no shit after Roma I lost respect for them. Then when Steve Mongo McMichael joined they just really sucked. Sure they got better for a short while after that but Mongo fucking McMichael?
Some rules that if they want to refore the 4H (which I don't want.)
1. They must have some past history with Flair. If WCW wouldn't have been stupid and turned Henning then he would have made a good 4H member.
2. They must be good wrestlers. With the exception of Ole who was old all the long term or original 4H members were pretty good wrestlers.
3. Flair must be in charge. They are Flairs lackeys. They helped Flair keep the belt by sacrificing themselves to Sting, Luger, or Windham.
4. They must have one major enemy. When I think back to the 4H most times I remember them feuding with Sting, Rhodes, Luger, and Windham.
But Flair is OLD. As much as Flair to me is the best ever I don't want to see a man who is 2 years older than my Dad win the belt much less much less hold it.
Flair should be a manager. With some big muscle guy. Flair can cheat and talk. The 2 things he is best at.

Wasn't Flair still two years older than your dad when he was winning all those championships???

As far as new stables being formed, what about Test, Christian, and Lance Storm (and Jericho???) over on Smackdown.

I've thought that just putting guys together makes it easier to have people move from feud to feud, and it gives people something to focus on other than a title, while the goal of the stable is to get a title. Plus, the drama that unfolds when a stable member must choose between helping the stable and helping himself is always good too.

They can bring back the Horseman with Benoit in charge, the key is not to call it the horseman. As long as people don't have the expectations, they can rehash the same old angles (that worked) and it will all be good.

Yeah but I am now 30 which is a good age for a wrestler. Plus Flair's title reign worked in the NWA and a little in the WCW. Flair's 2 WWF title reigns were fairly short by early 90's standards. Basicly after Flair's return and beating Vader I don't really think he made a convincing champ and the lengths of his last 4 or 5 reigns shows that. I doubt they would add up to even a year all together.
I like the Canadian stable because while it is certainly not new it isn't done to death like the 4H. It would be pushing wrestlers in their 30's not in their 50's. And Canada is a very important part of the WWE's audience.
Personally I like stables and managers. I think they have a place but I also want WWE to go back to jobbers, only 6 PPVs a year, and year long title reigns. But those things aren't going to happen so I just need to learn to deal with it. I fully agree about the uses that stables have. It is an easy way to get a rookie over. The eventual betrayals. With the 4H Flair rarely wrestled Sting on free T.V. but you did see AA or Tully wrestle Sting. It was almost as good. Sting would win then the 4H would kick Sting's ass. Mix and repeat for 5 years.

A womens stable is the only way to go. Trish, Jackie, and Annie from TE2. I still can't think of a name for them though.

PMS? No really if they ever form a woman's stable the first thing they should do is come out and kick Lawler's ass. When is Vince going to figure out that perv is costing him ratings? Women make up 50% of the population so why piss them off? Is the 15 year old virgin population who wants to watch a lingerie gravy bowl spanking match that important to the WWE? Except for Molly and her "fat ass" is there any women who aren't sluts in the WWE?
