Today marks the 30th anniversary of Blue Monday. 10-year-old me still gets sad thinking about it.

For you youngsters, it's the day the Dodgers beat the Expos to win the NLCS on a 9th-inning HR by Rick Monday. The Expos never returned to the playoffs.

Formers Expos 3B Tim Wallach is the Third Base Coach for the Dodgers. I met Wallach before a game this year. I asked him if he ever sees Monday around the Dodgers' offices and wants to punch him. He laughed hard. That made me smile.

Being a Pirates fan and what happened on 10/14/1992, I kinda know how you feel.

Except, you know, your team is still alive.

This thread makes me sad.

A lot of people in Pittsburgh would disagree with you. : )

Do they have a team? If yes then kindly shut up. I think the only city that really understands us is Seattle.

Not really. They got a team back after only 7 years. Brooklyn, maybe.

If this post time-traveled back from 2015 this is very good news. Do we have a hockey team, too?

Sorry. Since this was a baseball thread, my thoughts went to the Seattle Pilots. I wasn't trying to diss the Sonics.
