So TCU was scheduled to join the Big East July 1, 2012. Now they've decided to instead join the Big 12. They'll owe $5 million to the Big East, but apparently the 27 month thing doesn't apply to them since they never actually joined.

This is obviously a much better geographic fit for them. And as for the Big East, this means come 2014, they would be down to 5 football schools: Rutgers, West Virginia, Cincinnati, Louisville, and South Florida. It's probably time for those 5 schools to figure out where their next football home is going to be.

Well WVU sounds like they may be headed to the SEC. Didn't you forget UCONN though?

Smart move by TCU and the Big 12 I think.

This makes a lot of sense. Before I really started following College Football, I always just kind of assumed that TCU was in the Big XII. I just hope for their sake, they got some sort of reassurance that the conference was going to actually stay together, so we don't get a TCU to (insert conference here) in the next 6-12 months.

it gives TCU in state and close geographic rivals. Helps with revenue stream and recruiting. Assume that Mizzou is bolting and the Big 12 will need at least one more team for 10. I would guess there goal is to be able to have a conference championship game even if the coaches wouldn't.

Ladies and gentlemen, the following public service message is brought to you by your friends from D-Generation X, who would like to remind each and every one of you that if you're not down with that, we've got two words for you...

TCU to the Big East never made the least bit of sense. The only question I have over this move is what took the Big 12 so long to extend the invitation. Now go out and start chasing BYU, Boise, SMU and Houston before the SEC gives Missouri a chance to leave.

While the switch from Cena to RVD should alleviate some complaints, the inevitability of the belt's return to Cena (note where Summerslam is this year) and the poor initial showing by the new ECW are enough to keep the indicator where it is for now. The pieces are in place, though, especially on RAW, for improvements to be made to the IWC's psyche in the near future.
