I can't believe no one has mentioned the biggest happening of the night: The Divas of Doom Spikey Shoulder Pads! I called it! http://the-w.com/t/44172.1#469261 Oh, and wasn't that some sort of Kharma-ish skirt for Beth?
I think Roberts needed to hold out the "JEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNNN" a little bit longer. Fucking Buffer can do it, why not him?
Truth apologised to the little Jimmys. That's bullshit.

He actually said that?

JR deserves that beatdown for disrespecting Josh Matthews!
On Twitter overnight, some of the wrestlers and Divas posted the pics they took with Hugh Jackman. But @RealHughJackman himself only posted one pic on his account, with the one guy he totally marked out for (twitpic.com)
THE BROOKLYN BRAWLER!!
I love this. This makes me like Jackman even more. Of course he'd mark out for whomever he saw as a kid. I don't know how to check, but I'd love to know who WWF sent to Australia in 1986. I bet it was a C crew, they used to send the lowest rung guys and maybe a midcarder or two like Hercules to headline the event when they did overseas tours.
And how does Steve Lombardi manage to look exactly the same 25 years later? Is the secret a steady diet of Nathan's hot dogs?
I haven't seen it confirmed yet, but there's a crazy (being the key word) story going around about Melina texting Nattie yesterday about going to RAW and possibly interfering in the show.
Nattie wisely alerted the office and Melina was denied entry to the building.
Apparently the technical crew forgot to rig the announce table so that it would break easy, and Lawler went through an ungimmicked table, winding up with lower back issues.

Well, if true that explains JoMo's bitchifying.
Seriously, John. Either tell her where to go or just follow her out the door and hit up TNA. This situation is obviously not working as it is.

Wow. Awesome! And I was right about Hercules being on the tour, just completely the opposite about his spot on the card.
In the opening segment, I don't know if anyone caught it but when HHH said, "I don't know where this is going" a fan yelled out "me neither!".
Also after Henry killed King and JR, another fan was yelling,"Get Michael Cole too!"
By the time he was walking away, Henry really had that kind of heel heat that you don't see too often anymore, where the entire arena is uniformly booing him
You can hate on the conspiracy story, but at least it makes sense again. I'm not sure how Miz and Truth getting fired makes sense, but it was entertaining... especially how they got tossed out of the building.
I say this more often than anyone on this forum would like me to, but I enjoyed this show.

I enjoyed the show too. Hugh Jackman was great and I thought the way Punk was booked in the main event was a great rebound to make him look like a main event ass kicker. Especially the look Cena gave him at the end before raising his hand: "Damn, Superman is MY spot."

Oop I meant to say more often than most(some?) on this forum!
Hugh Jackman did a great job. I actually said, "Ha... great." When he casually walked up to Ziggler and stuck him in the face.
Oh and as for Lawler's injury, I do think it was weird the way this announce table broke. If you go back and look at it, it was bent out of shape with part of the frame still standing up. Hope Lawler makes a full recovery (as much as I hate the 3 man team).

That, and Pat Patterson's protein!
This show was. Um. There. I sure wish they'd stop doing fake firings. It'll come to the point where an actual angle that someone does on the way out won't mean anything. Or even less than it does now.
Not excited about HITC at all. Punk regained no momentum here. If the whole point of this anti-establishment type of character Punk has is to make him buddies with Cena and even on fairly good terms with Triple H, I think that's counterproductive. It is, however too early to tell. Liked the Henry stuff, but overall I'm back to a sense of almost complete apathy about the product.

Agree with all this. A triple threat HIAC is a good idea for the main event, but Cena and Punk are wrestling so much it feels like a few years back when every month it was some combination of Cena, Orton, and HHH.
Throw in ADR who really really feels like an afterthought. They gotta do something with his guy, because he just doesn't feel like he's anywhere near the league of Punk and Cena. Hell, Henry has done more in a week to become a credible champ and contender than Del Rio's entire reign.

I'm not sure at what point someone decided to stop gimmicking these tables. There was a stretch of SmackDowns a few months ago where the announce tables just wouldn't break!
I wouldn't be surprised if they just decided to stop gimmicking the tables, because they'd have those occasional spots where the table would break too early and someone would wind up getting hurt, as a result. Well, now it's gone the other way, where someone's getting hurt from the tables NOT being gimmicked. In this case, it's Lawler. They were lucky this didn't happen a few months ago when Christian kept getting driven through an announce table that just wouldn't break!
The easy solution is to just STOP using the "break the announce table" spot, but that would just be too easy.
