I don't know if/when a recap is forthcoming but I believe people want to talk about this show now, so I'll go ahead and start this one and turn you loose.

Pretty good show ignoring that this was mostly "RAW II" more so than "Smackdown" but maybe that's what Syfy needs at this point. Hour one opened with Cena and hour two opened with Punk. Surprised to see them go 6 past the hour but Punk and HHH *did* seem to talk - and talk - and talk - and by the time they were done, I didn't want to see them talk so much anymore. At least Punk didn't fake puke tonight for 15 mintues like (it felt like) he did last night. I think they're STILL not sure who to make the heel in this match and I'm starting to think they won't have made any decision by Night of The Champions - and while I have no problem with a face/face matchup, it really confuses a bigger-than-you'd-think slice of the WWE Universe. Also, you don't really need Teddy Long out there for a HHH/Punk contract signing, but it was nice that somebody thought to include him in that segment, given that the RAW GM is all but forgotten at this point.

Somebody tell me why Hunico was trending worldwide on Twitter tonight, as I STILL don't know which Sin Cara inexplicably beat up on Daniel Bryan after all the rescuing and teaming they did only a scant few weeks ago.

At least Mark Henry didn't rip the door off the cage tonight - that was about the only crazy finish they didn't throw at us tonight. (I take that back; I believe we managed to go COR free tonight.)

I may have more but looking over my tweets, I think I hit the high points - if there IS more, you'll have to refresh my memory. TAKE IT AWAY

Recap ran a little late, because transcription is a BITCH! I don't know how you did it every week for so long!

Anyway...

-----------------------------

TONIGHT! It's a SUPER SmackDown, as Christian faces Randy Orton for the World Heavyweight Championship! Plus, John Cena faces Wade Barrett. And we get a contract signing for CM Punk/Triple H! Oh, THAT should be good! Super SmackDown is NOW!

WWE - The Champ is Here!

Video package hyping the show.

Opening credits - Do You Know Your Enemy? Opening pyro! We are the opposite of taped...what's the word...yeah, we're LIVE from Wichita, Kansas! Tonight, Randy Orton faces Christian for the SIXTH TIME! Yeah, I thought it was more than that, too.

But let's start Super SmackDown with a Raw guy! Here's John Cena for our opening match! Your hosts are the three banana brains. Cena's got the mic. Oh boy, are you ready for COMEDY? Too bad, you get a Cena promo instead. Promo time!

Cena: I know some of you are confused, do not adjust your television sets, it IS Tuesday, I am John Cena and this IS SOO-PER SmackDown LIVE! Thank you, Tony Chimel. You're asking yourself, what makes it so super, well look around, we are live on SyFy from Wichita! NOW you guys are awake, fantastic! On top of that, every single Superstar from Raw, SmackDown, NXT, Saturday Night's Main Event, Shotgun Saturday Night, Nitro, Thunder, Velocity, Afterburn, and Smokey Mountain Wrestling is here! We even took the liberty of flying in your favorite XFL Superstars like...............who am I kidding, the XFL was worse than The Shockmaster. Anyway, enough talk about who's here, let's talk about who's gonna get hurt. One name comes to mind: Alberto...Del Rio. Senor, if you're back there, let's get you out here to start Super SmackDown with a super beatdown.

Hey, ADR's music DOES hit! But we get Ricardo Rodriguez, instead, to get beaten up confront Cena.

Cena: I know, do the whole deal, let's get the car out here, I'll let you do the whole thing, let's get Alberto Del Rio out here.

Ricardo: Tengo un mensaje para ti. I have a message for you, straight from y directo from the WWE Champion himself. You see, YOU, John Cena, Senor Cena, you're the challenger, eres el recador, y lo que eso quiere decir, what that means...is that you're gonna have to wait just a little longer, un poquito mas, until Night of Champions. Pero eso no es nada malo, that's nothing bad. Because it can't come any sooner, when you have the privilege, el privilegio...el honor, the honor...of being in the same ring, el mismo cuadrilátero como el Esencia de Excelencia, El Orgullo de México, El Patrón, the WWE Champion, Albertooooooooooooo Del Riiiiiiiiiiioooo! Y pa si no me escuchan, le dale otra vez! Alberto Del Rio! Alberto Del Rio! Alberto Del Rio! Alberto Del Rio! Alberto Del Rio! Alberto Del Rio! Alberto Del Rio! Alberto Del Rio!

Cena: SHUT UP! You sound like two old cats trying to have sex and throw up at the same time. We get it. Your guy's not here. I figured he wouldn't show up. It's ok. I got him a gift. I need you to do me a favor, it's very important, you need to give this to him personally and tell him that I gave it to him. Here.

Cena offers the gift of his fist on Ricardo's face. That sends Ricardo out, just in time for Wade Barrett's music to hit. Barrett looks like he does not approve.

Cena: Well, well, well, if it isn't Winds of Change himself, Wade Barrett!

Barrett: Well, that was impressive, John. Why don't you beat up the fat ring announcer some more. Show the whole world what a big man you are.

Cena: If I was gonna beat up a fat ring annoucner, I'd beat up Tony Chimel.

Barrett: John, we're what, TWO MINUTES into this LIVE Super SmackDown and already you're here trying to hijack the entire show. It looks like you've learned none of the lessons that I've tried to teach you last year. Now...Alberto Del Rio might be running scared, but I'm not buying any of this tough guy nonsense. That's why I personally demanded this match with you tonight. You see, Cena, this isn't your personal playground. This is MY territory. This is SmackDown. And let's not forget that I used to own you and when I'm finished with you tonight...I'm gonna make you feel just as pathetic as you did when you were my own personal slave.

Cena: Fine speech, but it's not my playground, it's not your show, it is THEIR show. And all we're doing is we're out here having fun, right? We're having a good time.

Barrett: My word, you really never change, do you? That is PATHETIC!

Cena: You know what's pathetic? You taking my kindness for weakness. Get this through your head: You are very talented, you have a bright future here, but you have made MY life miserable and I owe you some payback. And if you want to step in this ring tonight with me, Raw, SmackDown, Super SmackDown, you find out payback's a bitch.

Because dropping a shit ton of chairs on a guy doesn't count as payback, I guess. Our opening match is next!

Ad break

JOHN CENA v. WADE BARRETT
We start with Cena going to work on Barrett right away. Cena whips Barrett into the corner and hits a bulldog. Announcers are pointing out that Del Rio's not here, but haven't we been hyping a Del Rio/Sin Cara match since Friday? What do they mean he isn't here? I assume they mean he'll be here later. Barrett tries to take control with a kick, but eats a clothesline. Cena hits a corner splash and slam. Barrett comes back with the Boss Man Slam for 2. Barrett begins working over Cena in the corner. That doesn't last long, as Cena goes to work with The Usual. Have we hit FFWD on this match or something? AA hits and that's it. Um...what?

WINNER: John Cena - What the hell was that??? Did they run long on the promo or something? There is NO reason that match should have ended this quickly. This was a borderline squash. Seriously! What the hell?

Let's go backstage to the demoted Matt Striker. He's with Mark Henry. Henry says tonight's cage match winner gets to be a part of the Hall of Pain. Striker asks what it's like to be in a cage, so Henry tells him that's a stupid question before promising more pain for tonight's winner.

Let's take a look at a Ghost Hunters promo for some reason.

Sin Cara makes his entrance for our next match. He faces off against Alberto Del Rio after the break!

Ad break

SIN CARA v. DANIEL BRYAN
Wait, so Del Rio really ISN'T here? Why even bother to book the Del Rio/Sin Cara match on Friday if they weren't going to deliver? That's kind of annoying. On the upside, this should be a great match.

Let's hit the mood lighting and go to a wrestling sequence. SC hits armdrags to finish that sequence off and he grabs an armbar. Bryan dropkicks SC to the outside and hits him with the suicide dive. Bryan goes to the Tajiri kicks and a kneedrop for 2. YAAAAAH corner dropkick hits and Bryan goes into the surfboard and shifts into the Dragon Sleeper! NICE! Bryan misses the big kick and SC backdrops Bryan to the outside. SC fakes a suicide dive and hits a springboard crossbody. Sommersault senton gets 2. SC goes to work in the corner, oddly slowing the pace down. Bryan backflips out of the corner whip and a double collision takes both guys down. SC and Bryan exchange blows, but SC suddenly hits an Angle Slam! Springboard sommersault senton/Asai moonsault combo finish for SC!

WINNER: Sin Cara - Too short. I like what I saw, even if the pace was a little slower than I expected from a Sin Cara match.

We get the post-match handshake...before Sin Cara WIPES OUT BRYAN WITH A BOOT TO THE FACE! Um...what? Was the guy not moving enough merchandise, so they're turning him heel? What the hell is going on tonight?

Let's go back to the demoted Matt Striker, who's backstage with Air Boom. Kofi and Bourne give a generic babyface promo, but do talk about the great tag teams of the past. Later tonight, it's the big contract signing between CM Punk and Triple H.

Ad break - Be A Star promo

WWE.com is taking a poll on who's winning tonight's cage match. How the hell can Matthews call the Orton/Christian feud an even rivalry with a straight face, considering Orton's won every single match, except for one...which he lost by DQ! I'd hate to see what a lopsided feud looks like. That leads to an Orton/Christian video package.

The demoted Matt Striker is busy tonight, as we go to Christian. Christian says that he WANTS to be the World Heavyweight Champion and that he always gets what he wants.

Ad break

We go to the special guest ring announcer, Aksana. And yes, she does get the cheesy saxaphone music.

THE DIVAS OF DOOM v. KELLY KELLY & ALICIA FOX
We start with Kelly and Natalya, as Kelly hits the bitchslap and Thesz Press (without the BY GAWD!). Natalya drops Kelly and tags out. Double shoulderblock takes Kelly down. Beth hammers away and Natalya throws in a boot for good measure. Kelly counters a back suplex and tags out. Fox comes in with a top-rope crossbody for 2. Fox comes off a corner whip with a back elbow and wipes out Natalya on the apron. Fox sees an opening for the Ask Kick, but Beth takes her down. Glam Slam finishes in a two-minute special.

WINNERS: The Divas of Doom - At least the Doom Divas are finally wrestling as a team.

We go backstage to Teddy Long and Triple H. They're on their way to the ring for a contract signing, next!

Ad break - OMG DVD PROMO!

Teddy Long presides over YET ANOTHER contract signing! Ok seriously, how many contract signings have we had this year? They really need a new gimmick. Anyway, he brings out Triple H and it's promo time!

HHH: Before we get started, I just wanted to catch everybody up to speed...last night after conferring with the WWE Board of Directors, I cancelled a match between CM Punk and Kevin Nash. And at Night of Champions, made a match of CM Punk going one-on-one...with me. The WWE Board was kind enough to allow me to take this suit off for one night to deal with CM Punk. So I would like to invite CM Punk to this ring right now to sign this contract and make this official.

The sounds of Living Colour bring out CM Punk. Punk soaks up the crowd noise before coming in for rebuttal.

Punk: Well, as lovely as this all is, I find it a tad bit unnecessary, I mean, you ARE the almigthy COO of the WWE. Your word is gospel, you already made the match, CM Punk vs. Triple H at Night of Champions, you said so on Monday Night Raw, I'm a little confused. Why are we here? Did you...did you add a stipulation to the contract that says you can just change your mind about the match again when you get cold feet?

HHH: I understand your frustration, last night was a little bit fair, I caught you off-guard.

Punk: No, no, you did NOT catch me off-guard, trust me, nothing you do catches me off-guard, nothing that happens in this place, no matter how bad the decisions are ever catches me off-guard anymore. I'm just a little bit curious about the content...

HHH: As to what? As to why I changed the match, huh? I would have thought you made up in intelligence what you lacked in hygiene. You have disrespected me, you have disrespected my fam...

Punk: I knew it! I knew it!

HHH: Shut up! I'm not done talking...

Punk: If you've got something to say, say it.

HHH: I'm not done talking! Shut your mouth! Ever since I've been COO around here, despite of you disrespecting me, my family, the WWE, my father-in-law, my wife, despite you holding this company hostage with the WWE Championship, I TRIED to work with you, I bent over backwards to work with you and it still wasn't good enough, was it? No, you had to push! Let me ask you a question, genius. Who do you think got Living Colour to agree to allow you to come to this ring to "Cult of Personality", huh? Who do you think paid that tab? Who do you think got that approved and paid the bill, huh? Me! Who do you think approved that shirt you're wearing on your back? You know, the one you demanded? Say "Best in the World" when you weren't even here? Remember when you were off holding the company hostage with the WWE Title? I pushed that shirt through. Me! Even last night when I give you exactly what you want. I give you Kevin Nash, you STILL have to push my buttons and maybe...maybe I just need to be the bigger man, you know, maybe I just need to swallow my pride, do a better job, but I'm trying, Punk, I'm trying my ass off to be the man and be the COO around here. But the thing is, I can only take so much. You disrespected me, you insulted me as a man, now you deal with me, as a man.

Punk: I expect nothing less, you see, I don't want to fight the COO of the WWE at Night of Champions, I want the Cerebral Assassin. I don't want the new you, the new you sucks. I want the old you. And you're right, maybe you're not the right guy for the job and that seems to be my point all along. The last guy who was the COO, maybe you know him, his name was Vince McMahon, he couldn't separate personal issues from business and now look at you! You can't separate personal issues from business issues and the biggest thing that Vince saw...the thing that YOU don't see, you think I hate the WWE, I don't hate the WWE, I LOVE this place! If I hated the WWE, I wouldn't be sitting here right now, I'd be at home a lot happier, you would be rid of the evil CM Punk and you'd be a lot happier. What I want is CHANGE! I recognize when things suck and I speak my mind. I want things to be different. I want things to be BETTER! Not just for me, but for everybody! I am DYING for a change, WE are dying for a change! I want to be the catalyst for that...

HHH: Oh save me! You want to be the catalyst as long as it benefits YOU! I am sick to death of listening to you talk about how you're doing all of this for them. Yeah, there are a lot of people out there, maybe half of them agree with what you're saying, the other half...they don't give a damn. You know what, Punk? Some of these people actually LIKE the WWE! Some of these people dig it! They tune in every week, they love what they see, they come here to have a good time, they like it the way it is. Can it be better? Sure it can be better. That's right. And that's my job, to make it better, but when you talk about being the catalyst for change, really what you mean is you will only accept change if it means CM Punk is on top. 'Cause unless CM Punk is THE GUY, THE MAN, that's not enough change for you. That's not really what you want. See, you're no different than anybody else that's ever been in this business, including me. We're a lot alike. We did what we had to do to get on top, the difference is, I looked everybody in the eye and told you, I'm gonna step on you, I'm gonna walk through you to get to the top. You? You don't have the balls to do it! What you did, is you backdoored your way around, you tried to do it by being a martyr.

Punk: So many things to say to you right now. You see me as a martyr? Well, unlike you, I'm not, I'm not TRYING to step on anybody, I'm certainly not trying to be a martyr. But if you see me as a martyr, then maybe, just maybe, there's a lot of weight to what I say. Maybe I'm saying the right things. And you talk about half these people tuning in and liking what they see, and the other half not liking what they see, I want EVERYBODY to like what they see! I want everybody to tune in and enjoy this! I want this to be fun again, alright? And if you think I'm being selfish, because I want to be the man, well, you're right. I'm not going to say I'm doing this for everybody, I'm doing this for me, absolutely, because before I was a wrestler, before I became a WWE Superstar, I was a fan and at my core, I'm stil a fan. I'm a fan of this, and I will do what I can and what I know will make this place better, what will make this place fun again! The reason I say these horrible things about your wife, I mean, besides the fact that it's fun and I can say it and I can get away with it, but I'm pushing your buttons. You became COO, I immediately started testing you, trial by fire, call it, and guess what? You failed. You're just like everybody else. You're just like Vince McMahon. You know, I thought maybe, since me and you, yeah, we are a lot alike, I thought maybe we wanted the same things, I thought we were on the same page, we wanted the same goals, but it turns out...you're egotistical, you're vindictive, it's the same old thing I've seen before, I mean, you hire your old buddies to do your dirty work, because you don't want to get your hands dirty. I've seen it before. If I have to be the catalyst of change, if that catalyst of change comes from going through you, then so be it. Frankly, I think it's been a long time coming, me and you have never liked each other. Just do me the favor, since you're the COO, at Night of Champions, don't fine me, don't suspend me after I kick your ass.

Punk signs the contract.

HHH: You compare me to Vince, right? You think that I'm like Vince, that I can't separate the two, let me tell you something, Punk. One of the differences between me and you is something called respect. I respect Vince McMahon for what he's done, I respect Vince McMahon for building this industry into what it is, we wouldn't be standing here right now if it wasn't for Vince McMahon. You want to compare me to Vince McMahon, I say thank you. You couldn't give me any bigger of a compliment, but understand this...and this is where I'm nothing like Vince McMahon...

Punk: No wait, before you sign...the problem is, you respect Vince so much and you want to live in the past, you don't see the future. And trust me, I weep for the future. You're too short-sighted to see that Vince lost touch so very long ago and you are living in that shadow. You have lost touch. You are the guy who likes to point to his crotch and tell other guys to suck it and I...want...change!

HHH: You want change? You're gonna get it. Let me tell you something, this is where I'm not like Vince. Vince McMahon would have got in this ring with you at Night of Champions and sat there and taken a beating from you, because it was good for business. This has nothing to do with business now between me and you. It's completely personal and I am gonna kick your skinny fat ass!

I feel like I've been trascribing this promo forever. But damn, it's STILL not over! Cue the nWo porno music! Kevin Nash is here! Long bails, Hunter's holding Punk back, as Nash overturns the table. Punk takes the fight to Nash, as Hunter tosses Punk off. Nash hits Punk with a big boot! Hunter tries to push Nash back, so Nash shoves Hunter down! Nash stares Hunter down and exits. Hit the nWo porno music!

Later tonight, the World Heavyweight Championship is on the line in a cage match! But next, Sheamus faces The Great Khali. For anyone who's still doubting that Punk/HHH was booked on a napkin last night, remember that this match was originally supposed to be Punk/Khali.

Ad break

THE GREAT KHALI (w/JINDER MAHAL) v. "THE CELTIC WARRIOR" SHEAMUS
We take a look at last Friday, where Sheamus took a World's Strongest Slam on the steel steps.

I'm expecting nothing good here and my FFWD decision is a wise one, as Jinder Mahal runs in to stop the Brogue Kick for the DQ.

WINNER BY DQ: Sheamus - Yup.

Post-match, Sheamus runs into the JUDO CHOP~! Khali tosses Sheamus to the outside and tosses him into the steel post. Khali tries another JUDO CHOP~!, but hits the steel post. Sheamus tries to fight back, but Jinder Mahal is too much for him. Mahal tosses him back in, but runs into an Irish Hammer. The High Cross will end Mahal's night. Hit Sheamus' music!

Later tonight, a steel cage match!

CHRISTIAN v. RANDY ORTON: WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH

Yeah, I'm LONG past the point where this recap should be posted, so I'm phoning this match in. Apologies, but we're skipping to the end.

Christian sets up for the spear, but Orton leapfrogs over it. Christian dodges the RKO and hits the spear for 2! Christian sets up for the Punt of Plot Convenience, but it isn't convenient to the plot, so it misses. Christian tries for the springboard crossbody and KNOWS Orton's going to hit the RKO off it (since it's already happened to him twice), so it's a total fake out and Christian races to the top of the cage! Orton catches him, anyway, and hits a neckbreaker. Christian wants the Kill Switch, but gets tossed into the cage. Hanging DDT hits! VIPER COIL! Orton wants the RKO, but gets dropped! Christian races to the top of the cage again, but Orton catches him at the peak. Both men trade blows on top of the cage. Christian slams Orton's head into the cage and tries to slip out. Both men now fight on the top rope. Orton slams Christian's head into the cage repeatedly and finishes with an emphatic top-rope RKO to retain the title!

WINNER: Randy Orton - Great match! And THAT should finally blow off this feud, once and for all!

Post-match, Mark Henry's music hits and Mark Henry enters the cage. What, no "rip the door off" spot? Henry hits Orton with a headbutt and the beatdown is on. Henry tosses Orton around. Orton tries a token comeback, but it ain't happening. Big fat splash puts Orton down. More beatdown and cage tossing. World's Strongest Slam puts the exclamation point on this beatdown. Henry poses with the belt to end the show.

FINAL THOUGHT

Good show, but it was obvious that tonight's card got shaken up from what happened yesterday. Del Rio/Sin Cara got scrapped, Punk/Khali got turned into Sheamus/Khali (which wasn't any good the first time). The matches felt way too short and there was A LOT of talking!

Still, the cage match was great and it's a fantastic way to end the Orton/Christian feud. No punt, which means I owe someone a Coke.

Until next Friday!

Maybe they're actually going to reveal that it's a fake Sin Cara and the real one is returning? Who knows anymore.

What I do know is that "skinny fat ass" is trending on Twitter right now. And that Christian/Orton in the cage was an outstanding match.

The way things are going do they *we* really want to cheer either of them?

So who in Titan Towers is responsible for making sure the WWE Champion has his visa paperwork in order before you give him the title?

Guess we won't see how Punk would have worked Nash (via Khali proxy) after all.

Booker on Cena: "I respect Cena - I'm impressed that someone with limited skills has taken the WWE by storm". Tell me.. tell me I didn't just hear that! HA!

Like last night, Cena with the goofy promos that ooze "I don't sweat this guy - in fact, I don't really sweat anyone". Not Del Rio, not Barrett. Whatever you think of Cena, (and I like the guy, hate the way he's booked) you can't blame him for following the 'everything Vince McMahon likes in a main-eventer' playbook to get to the top. But he doesn't generally make opponents look good. Even still, I didn't see Barrett getting squashed like that - is Cena *trying to get more of a tweener reaction??

I thought the Punk-Trips confrontation was great toe-to-toe stuff, though maybe they could cut back on the insidery stuff now that they have our attention. HHH doesn't deserve to be the heel according to the story they're telling, Punk is unfairly condemning H on reputation, it's ultimately a misunderstanding. Punk push push pushs, and finally H snaps. I'm still hopeful that they are going to reveal that there's someone else for both of them to have an issue with, even if they split off to take separate paths to get back at whoever the actual heel turns out to be.

And I do wonder if the bulk of the actual viewing audience is ready for this feud, or needs some acclimation to more of an Attitude-era story. The angle is over like gangbusters for us die-hards, and that (in theory) helps with PPV buys. But for the adult fans of the SuperCena product, who bring their kids to house shows and who are the bulk of the current TV viewers?

I see by the poll that the WWE Universe knows how the booking goes. It's a shame that Orton and Christian can't go on and on, they do have great chemistry. And I'm not so optimistic that Christian will get back to a top tier feud, particularly with the brand extension ending.

Face Sin Cara sells a whole lot of merchandise - that's the primary reason they've gone thru all of these machinations after all - so there will exist a Face Sin Cara at some point. There's still nothing stopping from pulling two or eight more switches about who is who, but the best idea I've heard is to wait until they get to Mexico to do the big reveal.

I actually thought the Triple H/Punk stuff was good. Long, but the first actually good bit in the CM Punk in a while. In order words, it was the exact opposite of the horrible John Cena bit to begin the show. When Booker weirdly claimed Cena had achieved a lot with "limited skills", I guess he was referring to the people who wrote that script.

Multiple Sin Caras can be WWE's answer to the Villanos. Maybe by the time WWE gets to Sin Cara V, they'll find one who can get through a match without a botch.

Maybe it's just the mood I'm in, but I enjoyed tonight's show a lot more than RAW. The Trips/Punk seg was good. I really wish he went off on Hunter when he said he looked people in the eyes and told them he'd run them over, when the truth is he politicked from day one, carried Shawn Michaels' bags and weaseled himself onto the booking committee as early as sometime in 1997, before he'd drawn his first dime in the business, then cheated on his girlfriend with the boss' daughter. Call it what you will, but that's hardly a traditional route to the top. I also get the sense that "held this company hostage" refers to getting paid more than the company felt you were worth. Is the big corporation supposed to be the babyface here?

Barrett was kind of buried, but I don't care. I've never understood the net love he gets. He has nothing any number of tallish muscular dudes didn't also have, except perhaps an accent. Cena was lame again, although he is being given more leeway with his lines (he said "bitch" and "having sex" OMFG). He even briefly stopped smiling. Danielson should win a match again, someday. Cage match was great. But Orton as Champion has no interesting possibilities anytime soon, and he will have trouble keeping his momentum when he isn't working with someone of Christian's talent level.

Kane should be Sin Cara V. After all, he's already been a dentist.

If we're going to go that far, we should get Luke Gallows rehired as Sin Cara VI and then get Brian Lee and the Undertaker as #s 7 and 8. That way, once we have the Sin Caras feud end, they can all unmask and we can have the faker UT/Kane vs. Brothers of Destruction match we've always dreamed of.

Fixed that for you.

In any event, why does WWE demand such an intensely super-athletic style from Sin Cara? Whenever I see the top-rope C4 or even the opening leap over the top rope, I'm always convinced he's gonna kill himself!

Is this really the same company that has fired people for doing 450 Splashes?

All I really have to say about this show is that I desperately wanted Christian to win the cage match when he pump-faked Orton into going for the RKO. If he had just scurried over the top of the cage when that happened, I wouldn't have asked the WWE for anything else for the rest of the year.

The same person who didn't have Alberto's work visa might be the same one that forget to get Nash cleared to wrestle. I am on the fence about the HHH/Punk promo. HHH did his typical bury the wrestler and Punk did stop him at times. Yet, I feel like Punk's master plan of pushing HHH's buttons needs more fleshing out. That seems like a heel thing to do and I am not sure that totally fits with the character. Punk needed to cite examples as to what needed to change like Cena getting his 100th rematch this year or the fact we are wasting time with someone like Kevin Nash or we have a World Champion who can't get out of his home country or we seeing Orton/Christian for the sixth time for the title. He needed some concrete evidence to back him up, but he didn't whether it be due to time or the fact that threw this match together to quick. The crowd was zero help to Punk's cause. It might be some mid-west thing, but this week's crowd seems to be anti-Punk and Pro-WWE.

The rest of the show was good to great. Not of fan of jobbing Bryan out, his losing streak in NXT did him no favors, why would it help now? Sinn Cara's turn was unexpected. Orton/Christian was great, I just wish they didn't telegraph the winner with Mark Henry, number one contender. Wade getting squashed made no sense other than we need Cena here, but we don't want him to work too hard.

I don't want to be the guy who makes jokes about Sin Cara (either one) botching things, but he did almost trip after his heel-turn kick to Daniel Bryan.

I love the idea of multiple Sin Caras. I love the idea of a heel Sin Cara and a face Sin Cara. I love the ridiculous idea of the announcers and potentially the COO, and the WWE in general not being aware there is more than one Sin Cara. I love the idea of Sin Caras feuding or Sin Caras teaming up like Los Conquistadors. I'd love a match between the Sin Caras and Los Conquistadors. I'd love it if the Sin Caras teamed up and switched in the ring like the Bella Twins' Twin Magic. I'd love it if the Sin Caras each got to date a Bella. I'd love it if the Sin Caras each dated Bellas and never took off their masks and the Bellas can't tell which Sin Cara they're supposed to be dating. And I'd love it if we got three more Sin Caras and all five Sin Caras occupied every slot in Booker T's Fave Five.

Hunter again plays as full face on SmackDown while playing the tweener on RAW. I thought he made the case as to why he'd want to fight Punk, and he's already distinguishing himself from Vince by getting in the ring initially. Vince would have put Punk in a gauntlet/handicap match with Miz/Truth. (In the old Southern rasslin days, a bounty might have been issued.)

"The Catalyst" CM Punk has a nice ring to it, and to hell with explaining how he got here after hating the fans for years in the SES and NXT. We don't need that. He got that Cena match and decided to target the WWE through its standard bearer (Cena). Now HHH is the standard bearer. And I think Punk can still be revealed as the Higher Power. I'm not advocating it. Just saying the door remains open. And it plays into Hunter's accusation that Punk wants to be a martyr.

But I can do without seeing Punk in a contract signing segment for a while. There are other ways to give hm a mic for ten minutes.

I can see the world title angle leading to Sheamus/Henry at Hell in the Cell.

Multiple Sin Caras would actually not be too bad, but one should wear black instead of turquoise cause it is EVIL~!

The HHH/Punk segment helped freshen things back up again, but HHH staying face is still hurting. They should reveal that the nwo and Dx were never seperate groups and that it was all about taking over the industry. HHH took over WWE and Nash subsequently destroyed WCW. Then have the Clique as the old guard trying to hold onto the past.

TONIGHT! Well, Raw didn't do much to build towards the PPV. It's this Sunday, for those that didn't know. Maybe SD! will do a better job on the buildup front. Tonight, Drew McIntyre faces Teddy Long in the ring. If Long refuses, he's fired, playa!
