That you shouldn't be doing it since its going to end up killing comic books in the end. Actually, here you go http://marvel.com/digital_comics but you should really just get the regular subscriptions.
The Wee Baby Sheamus.

Am I missing something?
No.
Currently, very few comics(at least from Marvel and DC) right now are "day and date digital," meaning they are released in their digital stores and in the comics shops the same day.
A number of DC books will be when they do their Reheat in the coming months.
Of course, most new books are available online illegally the same day they come out, but that's a different issue (and not one sanctioned by this board, ofcourse).
Thanks. I'm not looking for just a digital copy. I really want to give them money for the titles I think are going in the direction... I just wish they weren't making it difficult.
I am never EVER moving with comic books again. My back is bad enough as it is.
So it doesn't look like DC actually wants any of my money.
There appears to be no way to buy digital comics unless I own an iPod or an iPad-- which I do not currently have. I thought there was a way to buy them from the Apple Store via iTunes but that does not seem to be the case.
If I lose a device with the current system do I lose all my purchases too? I guess I'll be waiting for them to make something cross-platform like the Kindle App that can be installed and synced on all my current and future devices.
I don't actually have a problem with the digital coming out at 2pm and being cover price for the first week. That's fine. If it is something I am lukewarm on I can wait a week, though I'd MUCH prefer it drop more than a $1 off the cover price ever. It'd be nice if it dropped a $1 per week after release until it hit $0.99 and then they offer special package deals on full story arcs once they finish up.
(No guarantee that that will work, but comixology are the guys who built the digital distribution engine that both Marvel and DC use and they claim to deliver on Android tablets.)
Sweet Tooth started before 2012, and just ended in early 2013, but I read the bulk of it in 2012. It's an incredible book and unlike anything I had read before. Jeff Lemire's career is going be great to follow.
