Christian vs. Randy Orton: Christian John Cena vs. CM Punk: CM Punk, though he'll probably lose it after the fact. Kelly Kelly vs. Beth Phoenix: Beth Phoenix Mark Henry vs. Sheamus: Sheamus Daniel Bryan vs. Wade Barrett: Wade Barrett
Ladies and gentlemen, the following public service message is brought to you by your friends from D-Generation X, who would like to remind each and every one of you that if you're not down with that, we've got two words for you... Punk beats Cena when Trips makes an officiating "mistake", something along the lines of Austin's leg being under the ropes at Unforgiven in '01 (in other words, something that Trips can plausibly deny as a mistake, when in reality, he meant to do it all along). No one turns, Del Rio does not cash in. The story essentially is this: Trips already knows from MITB that Cena won't kowtow to management, so he goes with Punk for a while to see if Punk will eventually play ball. When Punk ultimately refuses to, only then do we get the Trips turn on Punk to cost him the title a few months down the road, courtesy of Del Rio and the briefcase. I'm showing real faith here that the E will do the right thing, and ride with Punk for a while.
Christian gets help from some quarter to retain over Orton. Two most likely possibilities: the debut of a new Problem Solver (I hear that Fake Batista is available), or a pissed-off Mark Henry taking out his frustrations on Orton.
And yes, that means Sheamus ekes one out over Mark. It's highly possible we might get something along the lines of an accursed "Scramble" match out of SD next month, but if it's singles, Sheamus makes the most sense as someone that they can match up EITHER Christian or Orton with.
It's too soon for Beth to win the title; they have to develop this "women's wrestlers vs. divas" thing that Beth & Natalya have started a little bit more first. I see a scenario occurring where the "hot" girls band together and take out Natalya at ringside, generating enough of a distraction for Kelly to steal a fluke rollup win.
Daniel Bryan makes Wade Barrett tap. No reason not to keep rolling with the storyline of Bryan making the MITB briefcase important as a means by which to main-event WM, especially when Wade's been floundering for months with not even the hope of a sign of anything meaningful.
smark/net attack Advisory System Status is: Elevated (Holds; June 18, 2006) While the switch from Cena to RVD should alleviate some complaints, the inevitability of the belt's return to Cena (note where Summerslam is this year) and the poor initial showing by the new ECW are enough to keep the indicator where it is for now. The pieces are in place, though, especially on RAW, for improvements to be made to the IWC's psyche in the near future.
Christian vs. Randy Orton: Christian John Cena vs. CM Punk: CM Punk Kelly Kelly vs. Beth Phoenix: Beth Phoenix Mark Henry vs. Sheamus: Sheamus Daniel Bryan vs. Wade Barrett: Daniel Bryan
If only Punk was still acting the heel, I'd suggest he was Christian's implied surprise. That would work nicely, I think -- both men banded together against COOHHH.
Christian (c) vs. Randy Orton, World Heavyweight Championship Match: Randy Orton would win by DQ, per the summerfest tradition, but its no holds barred, so Christian will win as he will be less tired out by the pre-Summerfest fan axcess. Also, I'll guess Edge for the surprise. Winner: Christian Cage
John Cena (c) vs. CM Punk (c), WWE Championship Match, Triple H as special referee: Always pick the Yankees. Winner: John Cena Winner: Alberto Del Rio
Kelly Kelly (c) vs. Beth Phoenix, Divas Championship Match: Always pick the Torrie Wilson analogue. Winner: Kelly Kelly
Mark Henry vs. Sheamus: Mark Henry will prove that only he can be Mark Henry. Winner: Mark Henry
Added on Smackdown: Daniel Bryan vs. Wade Barrett: As a Cole Miner, I have to put my faith in the non-nerd. Winner: Wade Barrett
Punk. I think they're going to actually go somewhere with him.
Orton. I don't, however, think they're really going anywhere with Christian. I don't think they'd trust his drawing power in a main event against anyone on the SD roster other than Orton. My only hesitation is that I don't know who they've got for Orton next, but perhaps Texas Kelly is right and we'll get some sort of multi-man match next time. (Yeah, I know, they could keep the title on Christian if they're going to do that...but I don't think they will.)
Beth. Summerslam's the time to do it.
Mark Henry. But via shenanigans, allowing the feud to continue (and probably join with the title feud).
Wade. I've gone back and forth on this one, but I think Wade will win here and Bryan gets it back later.
Punk beats Cena via HHH "mistake". Cena goes ballistic and gives Punk the AA and the STF. Then ADR comes out and cashes in his briefcase to win the title.
Christian over Orton
Henry over Sheamus
Beth over K2
Daniel Bryan over Wade Barrett

If Cena wins, that's the second year in a row where the hottest angle of the year is quickly blown off by Cena going over in the Summerslam main event.
Cena over Punk in a great match, no Del Rio sighting
Sadly, Cena over Punk. Christian over Orton. Sheamus over M. Henry Beth over Kelly, Kelly retains title via DQ or something Barrett over Bryan, setting up a feud for the briefcase.
I hope to see an extra Cody Rhodes match added where he retains. Also something involving the Miz. Wouldn't be surprised to see ADR cash in against Cena, but they might save that for Raw.

Well, the difference this year would be that they think they're segueing into two hot angles in Punk/HHH and Cena/Alberto.

I kind of think they're going to take Orton/Christian all the way to Hell in a Cell.

I kind of think they're going to take Orton/Christian all the way to Hell in a Cell.
That's a strong possibility given the assumption that Christian is going to have help on Sunday. "No one can help you in Hell in a Cell, Christian. It's just you and me." Logical next step.
1) Kelly/Beth (Divas Title) - Beth with the Glam Slam wins the title.
2) Bryan/Barrett - Bryan with the Labell Lock after reverses Wasteland.
3) Sheamus/Henry - Henry does a dumb move, knocks himself out, and Sheamus wins by countout.
4) Christian/Orton (World Title Match - No Holds Barred) - Christian by international object. Will there be a run-in??? Yes, but will be thwarted by Orton quickly.
5) Cena/Punk (WWE Title Match - Winner Take All) - This is probably going to be the hardest prediction I have ever made. First off, it is going to be a great match, since it was indicated that this match will get more time. I hope I am wrong with the situation. A TRIPLE TURN...as in Punk goes full face, Cena goes heel, and HHH goes heel. Punk wins, HHH and Cena attack, HHH calls out Del Rio, Del Rio cashes in, and wins the title, setting up part 392903940253*10^ (don't know if this is correct, but this is how I feel about this) of Del Rio/Mysterio in San Diego tomorrow night. I hope this does not get complicated.
5a) Cee-Lo performs - I'll likely be in the bathroom at the establishment I'm going to be in doing my business.
Bonus prediction - I want to see an unannounced match put in at the last minute. Don't care who, but at least fill about 5-8 minutes more.
They increase the price of PPV and only announce 5 matches? This beggars belief, really. I think there will be at least two unadvertised matches, one of which would have enhanced the card on paper. Anyway...
Cena/Punk - I'll go Cena after HHH costs Punk in some way. No ADR cash-in tonight, save that for Raw tomorrow.
