I don't really buy into The Rock calling John Cena out for being a phony because of his thug image.
The Undertaker isn't actually a zombie, Kane isn't actually a zombie's brother, Alberto Del Rio doesn't actually own those cars...
It's wrestling. Everybody is a phony. It doesn't really work as an insult here, especially since John Cena is one of three or four people on the roster to use their actual name.
Punk couldn't be any worse then the last Cobra Commander. Its more to do with the fact Rock is Dwayne at 100%, so is Austin, HHH and so on. We know Taker is not a zombie, but he was the American Bad Ass. Kane is no longer a monster as he is another big dude who used to wear a mask. Cena is not Cena at 100% as he is John Cena playing a street kid. Cena presented himself as someone from the streets, but went to private school and really the street he know about was the name of the one he was living in a gated community.
To be fair, the WWE has gotten away from gimmick wrestlers. Rey is more about his luchador tradition with the mask. If you look at most of the guys right now, its just guys going with a 100% personalities rather then going with corny gimmicks.

Confidential was O.K. Jake came across as a dumbass. Work or otherwise. I also wonder how much drunken Kenny telling a cameraman to fuck off hurt him. Big said that Kenny had some physical and mental immaturities.
