Thrill, where'd you get lost? Between the midnight showing (first for me since Ep. III, which was free!) and ping-ponging between 2D & 3D showings today I've seen it four times so far, and will be seeing it again tomorrow on an IMAX sized, but non-IMAX branded screen with my wife.
So any questions anyone might have, I'll probably be able to answer.

I saw it and enjoyed it. I was hoping for more WWII stuff since what we got was good stuff. The Spiderman trailer didn't win anyone over, but everyone stayed for the Avengers' trailer. I loved the end though, it was pretty perfect. The Easter Egg stuff at the World's Fair was awesome as was the War Bound tour. I still like Thor a bit better, but this was worth the wait. If the worse that you can say about the film is you wish it was longer then its more of compliment than anything else.
The Wee Baby Sheamus.
Twitter: @realjoecarfley its a bit more toned down there. A bit.
I just got back from this and really, really liked it. Much better than Thor and Green Lantern. Though we got stuck with a 3d showing which just further confirmed to me how much I hate 3d.
My big bugaboo, as mentioned above, has been lack of nazis in most of lead up material. Yes, its a kids movie (nominally) and yes use of nazis may hurt its overseas box office, but to me, a war movie with few nazis rings hollow.
Plus, im not a fan of hydra being a wwii group instead of a silvr age bond vilain organization.

I just took it as Hydra was a special division of the Nazis so they needed a special division of the alies to fight them. All the main battlefield stuff was done by the regular army.
The conveniently multicultural team bugged me more than that.
Hydra has always* been involved in WWII though. A.I.M. started out as the tech part of Hydra in WWII and then split off in the 60s, so I don;t really see the argument.
*since their first appearance in '60s comics.

In the strange tales ive heard, hydra was just marvels vwrsion of spectre.
To my knowledge, the wwii stuff did nt even begin to pop up until the introduction of baron strucker, which was maybe a year or so after they had been introduced. I dont remenber arthur brown, the first leader of hydra, having a wwii connection.

That's a great idea.
The quality of this movie shocked me. It was indeed the best Marvel movie since Iron Man 1. The action scenes looked better than I expected after seeing the Cap outfit. The rescue mission was definitely my favorite part.
What really set this movie apart was the humor. It wasn't corny and lame like Green Lantern or funny but predictable like Thor. Jokes were delievered at exactly the right time in exactly the right way, just like in Iron Man 1, and that matters a lot with these big action fests.
This role was perfectly cast and perfectly played, especially in the skinny dweeb phase. Great job by all involved and the Avengers teaser looks great as well. Marvel is kicking ass right now.
Lloyd: When I met Mary, I got that old fashioned romantic feeling, where I'd do anything to bone her. Harry: That's a special feeling.

There is an historical unit which was one of the most feared by the Germans (who called them the Black Devils) and which had more cultural and ethnic diversity than any other unit in the war - at least that I know of.
In fact, it was a unit that could have had Wolverine and Nick Fury in it:
Went to see this late Friday night in a small 2D theater in Portland, ME with my teenage daughter and we loved it. Tommy Lee Jones was back in Fugitive form. His voice is a character unto itself. The action was fun and the reference to Raiders of the Lost Ark was classic. Of course we stayed for The Avengers teaser and she completely geeked out. It was a great way to send her off to camp the next day. My wife is rearranging her day today to take our other 2 kids. I think she just wants another glance or two at Thor.
This has nothing to do with the film itself, but the biggest crowd pop in my showing came from an embarrassed mother finally taking her ~1 year old daughter out the theater after the kid's cries were heavily booed during the first 30 minutes.
My wife and I got a kick out of that and remembered why we don't go to afternoon movies.

One thing that hasn't really been metioned is the love story. I thought it was really well done. Not forced and shoehorned in like Green Lantern, it was organic and subtle.
I was ready to hate Hayley Altwell after seeing her "I think it works" line 100 times in commercials. Figured she'd be the typical sassy I am woman hear me roar type. She is a strong woman, but definately not over assertive and when she goes off with that line, you don't blame her.
I liked how she really started liking Steve before he became Cap and was the only one concerned for his safety during the experiment.
And the final line of the movie is a heartbreaker. I really hope there is a scene in the Avengers of Steve getting a dance with a 90 something Peggy...
I caught CA this morning as it was presented to the IT community by Symantec, an official sponsor of the film. (How's that for an endorsement, CRZ?)
Thoroughly enjoyed it - the story and dialogue were above "super hero" level, and what I found most impressive was the CGI of Chris Evans' head on a puny body initially. It looked so real. The 3D, while unnecessary, was still enjoyable in some of the action scenes (jumping off tank, throwing the shield, etc).
Without spoiling it, I didn't think the movie would end how it did, but I guess they want to set up the Avengers as quick as they can - enjoyed the teaser trailer after the credits.
This is the first movie I've seen since Christmas, so I'll have to make some time to see Thor as there seems to be a bit of a tie-in.

It feels to me like they ended this movie the way they did, because they still have some questions to answer from the end of the Thor movie. But that Avengers teaser was absolutely top-notch. Four years of Marvel films all lead to this.
This is everything I wanted from a Captain America movie. They finally showed movie audiences WHY Captain America has the reputation that he does. His character demanded a WWII origin and we got a great one.
Only minor complaint was the focus on HYDRA over the Nazis. Because Nazis...aren't evil enough, I guess. I would have loved to see Cap punch Hitler in the face, but that's probably the closest I'll get, so I'll happily take it.
Thumbs up, but I'm going to sit in the minority and say this wasn't as sublime an experience as Thor.
A friend pointed out to me today that Patsy Cline was playing on the radio during the sequence when Jack's father was screaming about his daughter. The only two times Patsy Cline has played before were during Kate segments.
