It almost feels like they deliberately wanted to do a "salt the earth" type of deal with Rambis. The cynic in me thinks they deliberately left him twisting in the wind until all the other NBA head coaching gigs were taken and THEN fired him so that he'd have to collect an unemployment check.
Granted, no one would be crazy enough to hire Rambis as a head coach, but at least give the poor guy a chance, instead of letting him hang until all the other jobs are taken and THEN let him go.
The Lakers have several assistant coaching gigs open, so I see a homecoming for Kurt.
In two separate transactions yesterday, the Pacers traded embattled forward Shawne Williams to the Dallas Mavericks for Eddie Jones, some second-round draft picks and cash; and also extended the contract of center Jeff Foster through the 2010-11 season.
