The Observer is reporting that both guys are in serious negotiations to work with WWE in some capacity, although not as on-air characters/performers.

Hmm. Could be interesting. It sounds like a licensing deal or TV project right now, but it's not hard to imagine Vince seeing this as a foot in the door to getting Lesnar back in the ring in the future.

The most logical-seeming speculation has been a deal to put Lesnar and Heyman in WWE video games. Longer shot would be a Brock DVD. Meltzer has essentially said that Lesnar eventually doing a Wrestlemania is a foregone conclusion because he and Vince already had a deal worked out for this past one. It's just a matter of when he decides he's made all the money he can in UFC since he won't be allowed to do it while fighting there.

What is Heyman even doing these days? He's not collecting money from Vince to just stay at home is he?

Is it possible that Vince is trying to throw the kitchen sink at Mania this year, bring back as many names that can pop a number as possible, and then walk away on top and move the company leadership to the next generation, with them not having any excuse for failure in Vince's mind since he gave it to them off a large buyrate?

Hard to see Vince retiring. Everyone says he will run the company until he is unable to do so, through illness or mortality.

I can't figure out if this was something already in the works when Punk seemed to suddenly mention both of them in his promo (which would explain why they were suddenly brought up after seemingly years of no mentions), or whether his mentioning of them in the promo got the ball rolling. Either way, it seems the two events must be related in some way.

Maybe Lesnar and Heyman will get into the HOF this year. Between them, Macho Man and (presumably) the Rock, that's one hell of an induction class.

My thoughts exactly. Actually I'm amazed that this happened less than a week after the first mention.

It's the first, they've been back on good terms since the flirtation around WrestleMania. Maybe 'good terms' is too strong, but they both realize they both make enough money with each other (at some future point) that they're willing to bury the past.

It was a very smart name drop because few people know that status, but it was another thing Punk said that WWE would've had no problem approving before hand.

Why in the world would Lesnar even be considered for the HoF?

If they were going to go balls out, you would think WM 30. This year's HOF should be Macho and Rock with other people rounding it out. I am also on the fence about Brock being in the HOF since he was pretty much a flash in the pan. A very decorated flash in the pan, but a flash in the pan none the less. Yet, I am sure he will get in since the event is more about selling tickets then actual achievement. Heyman, should go in, but I would do it if they ever decided to do one in Philly or NY again which you would think 30 would be in NY or at least should be.

Why's everyone got Rock going in the HOF now? They've already got him wrestling. Save the HOF for another year so they can have a reason to bring him back again.

Can we please declare a moratorium on WWE Hall of Fame talk? It's a marketing tool. It's a money-making tool. It doesn't mean anything, so saying someone doesn't deserve to be in is a waste of time. We've been over this a million times. Bruno Sammartino and Lou Thesz and Randy Savage vs. Koko B. Ware and Johnny Rodz and Drew Carey etc. etc. etc.

I assume because of it being in Miami and because they can guarantee that he can attend. Also, it's always a good idea to get someone into the Hall before some random event makes them persona non grata.

Lesnar did so much in the short time he was around, you could easily make a 3 disc Lesnar set full of excellent matches he had. How the hell did he learn the business so fast? Within 6 months on the main roster he was really polished and could sell really well too.

His first year as a heel up until Survivor Series 02 was awesome. I loved watching each week to see who could take the fight to Lesnar and be the first to pin him and Brock did an amazing job making it look like he was nearly at the mercy of his opponent only to pull out the win. The Hardy Boyz were a great choice to be his first opponents and they really helped get Brock over in their matches.

One of my favorite lesser known matches of his was against Rey Mysterio on Smackdown in mid/late 2002.

Unfortunately, if a DVD of Brock's career is made, we won't get to see the incredible match he had with Chris Benoit on Smackdown in December of 2003, it was a PPV quality match, maybe even Wrestlemania quality match, it's on youtube but in really bad quality so I refuse to watch the match again until I find a good quality copy.

That Rey Mysterio match you mentioned has one of my favorite big man spots of all time. The way he just snatches Rey from the mat, catches him, then overhead suplexed him was just jaw dropping.

Cena can't be beat because he's some unholy genetic recombinate of superstars past. I mean, you might as well call him John "Realest of the Real, Sargent Rock - Cold - A - Mania" Cena.

Aw yeah, I love that spot. Did he ever do that to anyone else? Maybe to Spanky or Paul London, he f'ing destroyed those guys in 2003 when they turned him back heel. Lesnar was an awesome squash guy, right up there with Sid, The Steiners, Steve Williams and Vader.

I really hope they release a DVD set of Lesnar's matches, it'll be the first WWE-released DVD I will have bought since the Randy Savage collection.

I also would love it if he was in Smackdown VS RAW 2012. It's been 8 years since Smackdown: Here Comes The Pain came out which was the last WWE game Lesnar was in. It's too hard to create him with CAW mode because of his back tattoo. I did however recently discover the Wrestle Kingdom Games from Japan and Lesnar was in the first one, they had a few new awesome looking moves Lesnar did in the game, I'd love to see those moves in a new Smackdown game like the delayed Fisherman suplex and the triple rolling powerbomb.
