The original It's A Trap! thread is here, but for anyone seeing it for the first time, here's your chance to sound off on it.

I actually didn't see this until long after the DVD came out. It was admittedly the weakest of the Star Wars bunch and it's almost like you could tell that Seth MacFarlane was intentionally half-assing this. A few gems here and there, but ultimately nothing great. The American Dad/Cleveland Show cameos didn't really work for me, outside of Klaus, who was hilarious. I am a little grateful, however, that some of the REALLY drawn-out jokes were THANKFULLY cut short. (In the DVD version, Yoda called out to Luke a billion times to the point that it was just DYING and here, that joke is cut down.)

As for the season, this was easily the worst Family Guy season to date. What's really sad is, I said this last year, too! I was convinced that the show could get better and it's harder to believe it now. The first 3/4 of the season was some of the worst TV I've seen (outside of the fantastic Christmas episode) and it was like they weren't even bothering to try and be funny anymore. However, the last several episodes went a long way towards restoring my faith in the show. Whether it can go back to being consistently funny...well, who knows anymore? It might have hit that same point-of-no-return that The Simpsons hit around Season 14 or 15. I hope I'm wrong on that.

Again, I liked Its a Trap mainly for my love of Jedi being the first film I saw in a theater. Ewoks be damned, its still my favorite movie of the entire saga. I actually thought last season was worse. The two hour murder mystery was better then anything they did last year. I am not saying this was a great season or a good one, but it wasn't as bad. The Halloween episode was probably the best episode this year. The show is what I call Simpson cruise control where its been around forever that it feels like same old same old. Cheers is really the only show I know that got to a 7th season and got better as time went on. I can't even say that about MASH. So, I am just accept the show is going to be like this for awhile or until the ratings fall then Seth will make the American Dad writers over or until it gets canned.
