The type of homeless guy Truth is channeling seem like a very real threat to me. A knife made out of a toothbrush kind of threat. I can't complain about WWE never giving me what I want with heel Truth running wild.

There's some people that need to get got!

Now if Skip returns to back up Wade and muscle Zeke on Smackdown my wishlist for the year will be rolling!

R-Truth is the funniest guy in the company right now. He's delivering the 2011 PG WWE Universe equivalent of 1998 Scotty Steiner Monday Nitro promos.

They're not going to put a dedicated push behind a guy that whose contract is just about up and has given every indication that he's going to walk (at least temporarily).

Punk's remaining duties barring extension seem to be to lose a unified tag title match, break up with Mason Ryan, and put him over on the way out. I'm sure he wishes it was Gallows instead.

Last week's show was awful and a lot of what they're doing on both Raw and Smackdown is a mess, once again backing away from doing something interesting like they eventually did with the Nexus angle to return to their safe/boring zones, but I'll jump in with those who love Truth right now, especially in the opening segment and when he was pretending to leave. They're finally letting him be crazy like he briefly got to be in TNA and proved he was worth watching.

CRZ hit most of the high spots of the opening segment:

Between those two and some of what Miz was saying to Del Rio, there was indeed some fascinating racial politics going on at the top of the show. Truth is a catalyst! I will admit to being thrown off by the "little Ronnie" line when he said it, since he's been going with "Little Jimmy" the last few weeks, and I wasn't sure if Ronnie was a someone we've not yet met (not likely), a messed up reference to Delicious Pretty Ricky (I wish!) or Truth planting the seeds that the good part of his personality, Ron Killings, is trapped inside of him and was reaching out to Stanford to save him(probably!).

The other great part, possibly the best part, of the opening, was obviously:

Especially how proud Ricardo was of himself and Del Rio was that he got it in there. Who would have guessed that the two best people on Raw would ever be Ricardo Rodriguez and R-Truth? Probably whoever wrote NXT, I guess.

Yes! Crazy, rambling, Truth who might eventually turn to Bum Fights is exactly what is so fun about his character. It won't happen for a variety of reasons, especially because he's now set to have to go through both Rey and Morrison, but Cena vs. Truth would be the best feud on either show right now if they did it. Friend vs. friend. Hip hop enthusiast vs. hip hop enthusiast. Children's Champion vs. Little Jimmy's Worst Nightmare. Lily white gasbag vs. Angry Black Man Who Ya'll Should Shut Up When He's Talkin'. I would love to see Cena try to not break character and be forced out of his comfort zone by being in the ring when Truth gets a head of steam on the mic and possibly starts dancing angrily at him.

Anyone get a screencap of that horrifying expression on R-Truth's face when Mysterio angered him at the beginning of the show?

*I* popped for it. Ricardo is simply wonderful, and does a lot of things great. Great facial reactions, can take bumps well, good timing with the promos. I could see him being the next Virgil or Road Dogg, the assistant who does the face turn.

It seems like they still don't have music for R-Truth, outside of "THE TRUTH HAS SET ME FREE" (I heard that, but he had no mic....so that must have been pre-recorded). R-Truth as crazy dude is also awesome.

Am I the only one who was clamoring for a Ricardo Rodriguez vs Alex Riley match? For the first time since he first appeared on NXT, I actually want to see an Alex Riley match. Hopefully the Raw GM gets around to making it next week.

On a related note, with Cena busy with Miz and Rey busy with Truth, what is Del Rio going to do in the interim? I suppose the Cena/Miz feud will be over in 2 weeks, allowing Del Rio to move on to Cena.

I could see Miz trying to recycle the old Rock/Mick Foley "I Quit" finish (hey, it's been 12 years, it's fair game) by playing the clip of Cena saying "I Quit" over the loudspeaker. Then again, I could also see them recycling that finish but then Riley accidentally playing a clip of The Miz quitting as well.

Are they going to end up turning Mason Ryan face when he gets tired of Nexus repeatedly interfering in his matches, only to fail?

In my ideal world, the Lawler/Cole match with both of them sustaining throat injuries that would prevent them from commentating for at least a month, leading to Josh Matthews and William Regal handling commentary on Raw and Josh & Booker T on Smackdown and then Josh making Cole fight for his job when he returns. (I wonder what Josh's record is from the three matches he had post-Tough Enough? If he's undefeated, he should challenge Cole streak-vs-streak for the right to be the voice of the WWE.)

Where can I get one of those fancy folding iPads with the keyboard like Michael Cole had on Raw?

I hope, as the T-shirt says, R-Truth catches fire (metaphorically, not in the McGruber way). R-Truth/Cena for SummerSlam would be awesome promo material.

Is Guido with the company as a ref/agent full-time now?

Kharma had her eyes on Kelly, so Eve tried to attack from behind. They inexplicably changed camera shots to one that was on the ramp, so we didn’t get a clear shot of Kharma dropping Eve. Very un-WWE-like. She went to ringside for Kelly, but Kelly ran up the ramp. Back in the ring, she grabbed Eve and gave her an Implant Buster. So much for her only going after the heels.

Eve attacked first, so that makes her fair game.

But my point is, if WWE is booking Kharma to only go after the heels for whatever reason, as has been speculated, they wouldn't have booked Eve, a babyface, to attack her and get beaten down.

And yeah, I missed some of Truth's zingers in the opening promo but (a) I'm not going to transcribe everything word-for-word in real-time and (b) his awesomeness was coming fast and furious so I couldn't catch them all.

The characters in a horror movie never know as much as the audience. Kharma was there for the Bellas, Eve provoked her.

It was probably booked to keep Kharma occupied for a couple weeks, and delay her showdown with the champion.

Could be exactly like this. Remember when everyone thought Sting was with the nWo because he attacked guys like Arn Anderson and Rey Mysterio? But it turned out he only attacked them because they attacked him first. (Rey even pointed that out later when he became convinced Sting was really WCW).

Speaking of realism... How does Jerry Lawler have the power to induct anyone into the Hall of Fame?????

I do like how they are promoting Kong but just wish it wasn't always enter the ring and implant buster... Kong has so many other moves to destroy Diva's with.... Maybe they just don't want to over-expose all of them right now.

I'm assuming he meant to give the induction speech, since that's generally how they refer to the guys, as them "inducting" the H.O.F'er.

Considering the Divas she's been targeting, how many of them could even sell Kharma's moves anyway? Hell, Fox couldn't even take a lariat without busting her shoulder.

It's only been a week. Once Kharma reaches Gail Kim (her old buddy), Natalya, et al, then we'll see some of her REALLY cool stuff.

In fact, now would be a good time to bring Melina back out, since we know she can bend herself like a pretzel whenever necessary.
