Of course, I'm misquoting him here, but the journalists in Qatar seem to have taken the same liberties. This story is interesting for not only the usual reasons, but to see how WWE is covered in a far-off land where English (SPOILER ALERT) may not be the first language of the headline writers:

DOHA: World wrestling champion Sheamus said there will be no acting in the ring and fans will see real live action in the fighting matches among 30 top WWE wrestlers at Wrestlemania Revenge at the Qatar Sports Club on April 23.

“I invite any of you to come up and see if I’m acting in the ring,” said Irish-born Sheamus in response to a query by a reporter at a press conference yesterday at W Hotel. He became WWE champion after defeating John Cena, a highly popular American wrestling hero.

He said being a wrestler at the tough WWE matches is no joke because it entails a lot of physical hardship and endurance. “It’s the hardest I’ve ever done. You’ve got to be a larger character than yourself,” Sheamus said.

It is the first time for Sheamus to come to Doha and he was amazed by how infrastructure in Qatar has developed so fast citing the sports gyms in Doha as one of the best in the world.

Qatar fans will enjoy watching for the first time after a decade the real live action in the ring from their idols and WWE superstars like John Cena, Sheamus, Randy Orton, The Miz, CM Punk and many other rising stars.

Organised by Golden Relations with the support of Qtel’s Virgin Mobile Services, the WWE “Wrestlemania Revenge Tour” will surely be a real treat to thousands of WWE fans since they will see the championship match between John Cena and The Miz and Randy Orton against CM Punk.

Bilal Taha, CEO of Golden Relations, has assured the show is family-friendly and kids from all ages can freely watch the fight up close. “Hopefully, this will not be the first and last night of their coming over here,” Taha said.

Adel Al Mutawa, Executive Director of Qtel’s Group Communications, said entertainment is very important to Qtel and WWE provides a unique form of entertainment that is popular especially among young people in Qatar.

“We are hoping to fuel a sense of excitement across the country by supporting this event,” Al Mutawa said.

Qtel is giving away 150 pairs of tickets for Hala customers that use eTopUp and 50 pairs for customers who use ePayment for their monthly bills. Customers who top-up using e-services will be eligible to win the tickets.

Tickets can be bought from Golden Relations staff at Qtel’s Virgin Mobile Service outlets in Villaggio, City Center, The Mall, Hayyat Plaza and online at www.spotsbyme.com with prices ranging from QR1000, 750, 500, 350 and 250.

Thankfully, Sheamus didn't attack any journalists in Qatar yet. I recall Vader attacking one in Kuwait years ago and spending some time in jail...

He did time for that? I thought they just booted him out of the country.

He was fined $164. The cost of choking someone by their tie has went up in the last 13 years.
