From nba.com, it has been announced that the former 2 time Defensive Player of the Year ("The Worm" Dennis Rodman) and former member of the original Dream Team (Chris Mullin) will lead the HOF basketball class in August.

Thoughts and Anaylsis:

I was glad to hear that the 5 time all-star Chris Mullin was inducted into this year's Hall of Fame. Rodman, who will remembered to anyone including those who don't pay attention to basketball for his "unique style".

I am not sure how I feel about Rodman getting into the Hall but when it came to defense, Rodman may be the best pound-for-pound defender in NBA history.

Others to be included in the August ceremony will be Artis Gilmore, Arvydas Sabonis, Teresa Edwards, Reece "Goose" Tatum, Tom "Satch" Sanders, and coaches Tex Winter, Tara VanDerveer, and Herb Magee.

Congrats on making to Springfield, Mass to everyone. Thoughts and opinions.....

Rodman was probably the best rebounder of the modern era. A defensive force, and vital in 5 NBA title teams. Totally deserved induction.

Rodman, Mullin, Sabonis and Winter are definitely deserving inductees. I don't know enough about the rest to offer an opinion.

I think having the best collection of players CAN guarantee victory, but only if that collection is head and shoulders above the competition, ala the original Dream Team.
