OK, this little snippet on CNNSI.com sounds strange to me.

New Bulls coach Bill Cartwright isn’t afraid to take a page out of former boss Phil Jackson’s unorthodox coaching handbook. Or from the Guinness Book of World Records, either.
Hoping to improve his team’s poor foul shooting, Cartwright recently brought in a 79-year-old free throw specialist who is in the Guinness book for once making 2,750 straight.
Tom Amberry, a retired podiatrist from Seal Beach, Calif., who set the record in ’93 after taking up free throw shooting as a retirement hobby, worked with the Bulls last week in Chicago and plans to return periodically during the season. Part technical advisor and part motivational guru, he claims to help players find a comfortable mental approach when stepping to the line. “It’s all focus and concentration,” he says. Cartwright, who also has had his team recite the Lord’s Prayer after practice, says he isn’t trying to become another Zen Master. He just feels that with the Bulls currently ranked 27th in the NBA in free throw accuracy -- ahead of only the Heat and Lakers -- at 70.2 percent, what is there to lose?
"My suggestion [to the players] was if you're shooting less than 70 percent, you should probably give him some time," Cartwright says.

Me, even though I'm a Pacers fan, I say, “Go, Bill!” As long as someone is doing something with that team, which has become the biggest embarassment to the NBA since the Sacramento Kings (up until five, six years ago).
“I've had more world titles than you've had pieces of ass!”
Yeah, man, you've got that right. Shaq went absolutely STEINER on Brad Miller, from what I understand. I wish I would've watched the game, but unfortunately I was watching my Pacers lose a tough game against the Dallas Mavericks tonight.
But, for those of you that didn't hear. After a hard foul by Brad Miller with a couple of minutes left in the fourth quarter, Shaquille O'Neal turned around and threw two punches at Miller while the Chicago center's back was turned. The second of those connected. He then jumped on Miller during a pileup on the sidelines, before being pried off by Charles Oakley.
All in all, four players got ejected-- Shaq for the punches, Oakley for the semi-retaliation, Miller for a flagrant-two, and Lakers forward Rick Fox for arguing the call with the referees.
First off, I must say, way to go, Charles! You have to love a guy that'll risk being attacked by Shaq to save a teammate.
Shaq has no business doing what he did. I don't care if he thinks the foul was hard or not. I've been watching him for years, and he dishes out a lot more hard fouls than he takes-- hack-a-Shaq strategy or no.
How the hell is Brad Miller-- hell, anyone-- supposed to guard Shaq without giving him hard fouls?
And then there's an idiotic quote by Phil Jackson:
“Shaq has great control. I'm surprised he doesn't do this more often the way he gets attacked every night.”
Hell, Phil. I'm surprised opposing centers haven't knocked Shaq's damn head off the way he attacks them every night.
Anyway. The Lakers were leading at that point, 87-84, with 2:44 left in regulation. They ended up losing in overtime when... finally... Kobe Bryant's attempts at winning the game by himself failed.
That's right, the Chicago Bulls defeated the Los Angeles Lakers. And for one night, at least, all is right with the world.
And that, as they say, is that.

Cartwright is at least better than Dick Floyd.(Yeah I know his real name, but I have been a Bulls fan my whole life and you saw what he did.) No free agents wanted to come here under Floyd, maybe because of him, maybe because of Krause or the cold weather or whatever. But no one wanted to be here. Now we have won 3 out of 7 under Cartwright and the Bullies are actually watchable again. Now if we can only trade Kevin Ollie for that that old guy on the Wizards whose jersey is up in the rafters.

I cannot get over the fact that the bulls had a college dream team up of artest and brand that would have put up huge numbers in the future.. and they threw it away.... oh well... bad management
I AM THE BEST there is, was and ever will be!!!! Dont you wish that you were me??? no?.... i've got two words for ya!
How the hell we ever gave up a sure 20-10 every night from Brand, at only 23 years old, for a 19 year old question mark, I'll never know. At least Tyson has been looking better lately. Now Eddy Curry, I don't know. I saw him play all the time in high school, he was fantastic. Not as good as Kevin Garnett in his senior year at Farragut, but still great. (On a side note, Garnett's team, with him and Ronnie "CBA" Fields, was just unbelievable. How they didn't win state that year was amazing. KG missed a 3 in regulation that would have tied it.) I at least like the way the Bulls are playing now.

The Bulls are at least trying harder. But they still suck grapefruits, though. And they'll continue to suck grapefruits as long as their owner has his head stuck up his ass.

It's downright scary. I watched them at the Proviso West tourney that year, and I thought they could play with half of the Div I-A teams in college at that point, they looked so good. Only 2 teams I've seen in my 15 or so years of IHSA watching that were better were the Proviso East team with Finley, Ford and Boyce (which I saw whup my school by 40 during my freshman year), and the King team with Griffith and Hamilton (before he weighed 500 lbs).
