The UConn women end their streak at a nice round number of 90, as Stanford finally takes them down. Got to hand it to the Huskies, that number will stand for a long time.

Actually, it's funny... when they got their 89th win they got T-shirts that said "UConn Women: 89 straight wins... and counting!" And I joked to my mother, "Wouldn't it be something if they lost their very next game? Would they have to cross out the 'and counting' from their shirts?"
Obviously they weren't gonna lose to Pacific, but I wasn't too far wrong with that.

So, Payton is going to be immediately released by the Hawks and become a free agent (???) ... If that's not the case, then it seems like a pretty crappy way to deal with Payton after the professional way he's handled himself.
