He got rid of Bret Hart because he was the GM thus the GM position could not open up unless he was eliminated.

Yeah, that was weird. Shoot him in the foot during his first "in-ring" action, why dont you. First thing that popped in my head was if this was one of those "Humble this dude some to keep his head from getting too big"-type moves. I have no reason to believe this, of course. That's just the first thing that popped in my head.

I think Punk's always been the leader, but only Wade knew. Punk hated his rookie, and got into the head of the anointed one Wade. Wade forms Nexus, and boots Young at Punk's behest.
Justin's scenario makes sense, which is why there's no way it'll be the truth.
Wade's coming back and bringing Skip, EVIL Percy, and Tarver with him!
I can't imagine they would put Lawler against Miz at the Rumble after Monday's match. His weaknesses were easily camouflaged in that ladder match and with overbooking (Cole runs in, Riley antics, etc.) but in a straight wrestling match Lawler was crap fifteen years ago against Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels in their primes. He has no business in any kind of serious match against the Champion. In fact, RAW was going swimmingly till a 30 year old beating up a senior citizen finally weirded the audience out and killed the momentum of the show. So, maybe Morrison wins and they do a rematch at Rumble where Miz takes it back. Unlikely, but they made Sheamus and Jack Swagger Champion, neither of whom was anywhere close to as deserving as Morrison.
Henry's win was puzzling, but then, he can't constantly lose or there's no value in someone beating him. He's put over Barrett, Batista, and other upper-mid heels extensively this year. Maybe a bit of a win streak will give him some restored credibility. Also, hands down, his entrance theme has the best lyrics since Undertaker's "You're Gonna Pay".
Seamus has come a long way. His match with Orton in January at the Rumble was fairly pathetic. Tonight, he was not entirely carried to a great TV match. Still: his facials are all wrong in certain situations. It doesn't work for his gimmick for him to have a bitchy, whiny look on his face when he gets denied on a near-fall, which goes more in the direction of chickenshit Jericho circa 2002. That may have been okay for Jericho with his size and his promo style in that era, but Seamus is an ass-kicking hoss heel who is totally full of himself. He'd do better with a "did that just happen" expression, ala Triple H or Booker T when someone kicks out. Also, that powerslam...He didn't protect Orton at all. He's still sloppy. But he'll get there.
Miz was particularly effective in his promo, he really showed "fire". Gotta get him away from Lawler, though. That's just hard to watch.
I love CM Punk. He says what I'm thinking. I thought Cena's demeanor somewhat dampened things early on, but I suppose now he'll treat Punk more seriously. A better spot for Punk is better for everyone. As for Nexus, they have someone who can actually work and is a veteran and can cut a promo that doesn't sound like crappy scripted garbage. I can't fathom anyone not seeing that as a massive massive upgrade. This can move Nexus from Natural Born Thrillers territory, which is all they were till now, to something more nWo, Horsemen, or Evolution-esque, which the group needs to have an use whatsoever.

I agree here 100%. Nexus had no where to go but to disband and become generic midcard wrestlers. Now, they ha ve a chance t be a bonafide long term stable with a leader everyone on Nexus can believe in and the rest of the WWE rosters respects/fears. Awesome move.
Fantastic RAW! Miz and Punk totally reigned supreme. The Miz/Lawler match wasn't as interesting as their TLC match was, but it was great nonetheless. One of Miz's best showings so far, I'd say. He really looks more and more like a megastar from day to day.
I don't know where to go as far as WM is concerned, now that Cena seems to be injured. Maybe Miz vs. Morrison vs. Punk in a three way? They had a match like this before and it could be good again. You could even squeeze a really short Jerry Lawler title win in, probably at the Rumble. It didn't hurt the Rock on his way to WM XV that Mankind won the title twice in between Survivor Series and WM. And yes, lotjx, I'm comparing The Miz to The Rock AND Ric Flair! :P

I am more offended to you equated Lawler to Foley during that time. Granted, Foley is almost as run down as Lawler is right now, but during that time Foley was awesome in everything. Its title win helped steer the tide to WWE during the Monday Night War. Hell, Vince wanted to make it Foley vs. Austin vs. Rock at Mania, but Foley refused since it would take away from the other two plus a bad knee. A Lawler win would do more damage to Miz then help him and even him losing to Lawler via count out was kinda weak sauce. Lawler has had enough titles when he was in Memphis, not winning the WWE will not kill him. Miz's mic skills is his strength its the wrestling I have questions about. Keep Lawler away from Miz and vice versa. I am just glad I am not the only who thinks Punk is an upgrade from Wade.
Punk did a great job of stating his case, I like that he is calling out Cena, but I'm less than thrilled with the Nexus reboot. I would have rather he pulled a few guys from Nexus and maybe teamed them up with some other guys floating around the company, give it his own feel.
The Nexus were about as successful as the Dungeon of Doom and their quest to take out Hulkamania, is this really the group of guys you want on your side when you are going into the same battle?
It's going to be really interesting to see what they do with Barrett. Making him the scape goat for all the bumbling that Nexus did seems like a shaky way to send him on his way.

It would be nice if Nexus would branch out there wardrobe too. I grow tired of 5 guys in short pants forming the NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN

If you're CM Punk and His Massive, Engorged Ego, sure. Punk could state the case that he's a better leader than Wade and he can take the rest of the Nexus people farther.
You wanted the best, you got... the Out of Context Quote of the Week.

Having only gone to one live RAW, I think the starting time on the ticket is actually the starting time for the live show. But I don't know for a fact. Before that, they generally do dark matches and also tape for Sunday Night Heat.
