(Belated credit to The Goon for getting every game right last year.)
West: Sask over BC Calgary over Sask (sigh)
East: Hamilton over Toronto Montreal over Hamilton
Grey Cup: Montreal over Calgary

The Riders were down 16-7 at halftime, and came back to take the lead. Which they then blew on a hail mary at the end of regulation, forcing overtime. The Riders then took the lead in the (college style, 2 point attempts mandatory) overtime with the full 8 points. Which they promptly blew, despite the fact that the Lions 2 point attempt was from 10 freaking yards. The Lions then scored a field goal, but were finally defeated by a Riders touchdown. It was a crazy-go nuts game (well, eventually), and I'm glad that I was there in person. As for playing Calgary next week, well, anything can happen, but anything from this point on is basically bonus.
Also: still time to include your predictions!
My updated picks: West: Calgary over Sask (sigh)
East: Montreal over Toronto
Grey Cup: Montreal over Calgary

There is a patchwork of stations that are going to have the playoffs and Grey Cup game. Check your local listings does apply- I get Time Warner Sports out of Syracuse on my cable plan, and it's not listed on that page, but both semifinals were on Sunday on the overflow channel.
Montréal 48, Toronto 17 Saskatchewan 20, Calgary 16
The Rider game wasn't quite as insane as last week, but a must-see play is the one that gave me about 4 heart attacks, where with 3 minutes left the Riders muffed a punt which then rolled backwards for 25 yards before being recovered for a touchback by the Riders, resulting in 20 seconds killed off the clock and a net *gain* of field position for the Riders of 5 yards.
As a result, the 2010 Grey Cup will be a rematch of last year's soul destroying disaster. The Riders are not as good as last year, but they did beat Montreal in the season opener in Regina, in a completely bat-shit crazy game that I believe a few of you ended up watching on the NFL Network. Bring on the Alouettes!

It wasn't the most exciting Grey Cup, but it did have an exciting finish. Solid victory by the Alouettes, and once again the Green Army goes home sad (and possibly drunk).
Big shout out to SJ Green! He was my roommate. For about six hours. Because the university housing office made a mistake.
But we made the most of those six hours. He helped me move a television, now he's catching nine passes for 102 yards in the Grey Cup. I'm pretty sure I'm somehow at least partially responsible.
Fuck. At least the Riders didn't toy with me to the degree they did last year.

I know they don't consider Baltimore as part of their team history, but I always pull for them. I'm doubly happy as my Baltimore Stallions/CFLers throwback helmet just came in the mail today.
The lesion was found while he was getting treatment for a sternum injury earlier this season, and biopsy results have proven inconclusive, so he's going in for surgery in 2 weeks.
He's probably nearing the end of his CFL run as it is (he's been in the league so long, he started with LAS VEGAS for Christ's sake.), but you never wish cancer on anyone, especially after he had to take some time off in '07 when his wife was diagnosed with lymphoma.
(The old thread looks to be locked now, so I had to start a new thread for the update.) And it's official! Chad Johnson is no more. Meet Chad Javon Ocho Cinco.
