Its time for China to honor their word and lay the Smackdown on North Korea if not then its up to us. I say a few nukes should get handle the situation and let the South Koreans take over the rest of the island.

I will ignore the rest of this post for my sanity, but I must say the following: peninsula.

It is the policy of the documentary crew to remain true observers and not interfere with its subjects.

lotjx is just joking around, or using the term "nuke" as in "blowing stuff up without nukes, but lots'o'bombs". At least I assume he is, because anyone with an ounce of common sense knows that when you set off a nuke, the wind could wisk the fallout right back to South Korea or China itself, which would result in several slow deaths.

That said if this keeps up.....man, North Korean leadership are going to feel reeeaaaaallll lonely in a hurry.

EDIT: You want to see an instant rating hit zero? Here's how you do it;

(PLEASE NOTE I ACTUALLY THINK THAT THE BELOW IS TERRIBLE):

Hypothetically, (and I mean VERY HYPOTHETICALLY) if Chinese leadership is still serious about population control within their country than nukes are TOTALLY a viable option here. They toss one at North Korea and either;

1) North Korea = dead. They can run in and tank the land once the fallout ends.

2) South Korea gets the falllout, there goes a staging area for US troops.

3) Destabilizes the region nicely if they want to invade.

4) If THEY get the fallout they can manage their population.

If the rumors about the Nuetron bombs are true, you really wouldn't have to worry about too much fallout. Anyway, I meant bomb the shit out of them, but I don't know what people are going to expect to happen if they go after the uranium processing planets if they active which will be a major target if not for us either China or South Korea depending on where said wind is blowing. I don't think the North Korea leadership cares about being alone, they know they will get sanctions and that is all with a side of monetary compensation. We will keep playing this game til China or us concede that this peninsula, sorry, is not worth our time, money and troops.

I take option 5 from El Nastio, China doesn't give a shit and does nothing, but saber rattle and reminds us of our rather large debt to them. If not option 5, then China will do all 4.

We need up in a Depression far worse then anything you have seen before. The dollar will sink since there is no creditability to it and it will lead to a global collapse.
A few years later, it will lead to World War III due to countries realizing there are too many people on the planet sucking up the resources and are doing a damn thing expect sitting on property or other resources. By then, you will see the Neutron bombs get tested for real. We can not say "We refuse to pay our debts." This isn't the business sector where we can declare bankruptcy and call it a day. The reason we are getting the money from China and every where else is due to us saying, we will pay these back someday.

In the long run, its better for us to deal China as a partner and let them take the lead on North Korea then provoke a war. If they want us to move in, they will give us the green light if not, then we tell South Korea to hold their horses. China should not be happy about this, because they have told the world they will take care of North Korea and today shows they haven't. They tell everyone they are THE Superpower, yet the drunk next door neighbor, they told everyone was fine keeps pissing in everyone's lawn. The easiest thing for us to do is just total destroy North Korea and let the South Koreans force a reunification. Its the simplest way to do it, but China does not want a US ally that close to the borders, so it won't happen. Again, we are still in this stalemate where people die and nothing is going to get done about it. Yet, if South Korea goes solo on this, its going to be bad, very bad for everyone involved.

Let me just stick my head in here.

I did a year in Korea back in the day and because of that, I have watched it pretty closely.

In 1976, when I was there we had:

1. A US Soldier and a couple of ROK guys shot and injured because Kim Il Sung (That was Kim Jung Il's Daddy) was trying to stir the pot with Park Chung He (That was South Korea's virtual dictator in those days).

2. A US Chopper shot down and it crashed into North Korea and they held the pilot and crewchief a couple days before they let him go back across at Pan Mun Jan

3. Speaking of Pan Mun Jan, in August of 76 and few of our guys, including a couple of our officers, were trimming a tree near the Bridge of No Return when the NKs came across the Bridge on a truck and killed some of our guys (The officers) and injured the rest and then went back across. They did this with Machetes, since weapons are banned in the DMZ. The US Troops in the Republic alerted, but after three days we stood down.

and there have been many such incidents since. Including the whole Nuke things.

I am not discounting this, but my point is that the SKs and NKs LIKE to shoot at each other from time to time. I don't know if this isn't one more of those issues.

We'll be back right after order has been restored here in the Omni Center.

Difference between '76 and now: They are even wackier and probably nuclear. This is probably just the every few months Koreans get bored and shoot at each other exercise, but, one of these times it might be real. Then, it will be interesting how the current president reacts under those circumstances.

Well, with 28,500 American's stationed in South Korea, our current (or whoever is in office when this happens) had damn sure better allow them to retaliate if struck first.
