Well, at least HHH is not number one or even in the top ten and did remember those guys in TNA. The bad is where those guys who are in TNA fall on the list. How you can have Piper over Hogan and Steamboat over Flair is beyond me? I love Shawn and Taker, but they are not 1 and 2, Flair should be 1 and maybe Shawn at 2. So, let the debate begin.
This list looks like it was made by someone who started watching wrestling in 2004. Any list that has Hulk F'N Hogan at #23 doesn't have much merit in my eyes. Shawn was a great wrestler, no question but I just cant place him above Flair, Hogan, Austin and Rock. Those guys redefined the industry and defined their respective eras. Oh my God, I just noticed they ranked John Cena ahead of Flair. Also Flair and Dusty are tied for some reason, and there are still 50 spots on the list, so this is really 51 wrestlers. Thats just awful. Not to get too critical, but this is the worst list I have ever seen. This might be the worst composed list on any subject that I have ever seen.

Actually, number 18 is listed as N/A, which means there are only 50 wrestlers on this list.
Some people deserved to be on this list, others not so much (aka Cena, Batista, Kane, and a few others).
Maybe I didn't see it on here, but where is Sting? Any time you have some of the "all time greats", you have to put Sting in there.
Based on some of the names on this list, it would seem a few of those names got on there for how well they brown-nosed and not so much the impact they had or the ring skills they brought.
The list is from the new WWE 50 Greatest Superstars set - its not meant to be an all wrestling thing, given the Superstars word in its title - so guys who never went up north like Sting are just not going to be included, even if Vince will probably put him into the Hall of Fame someday.

John Cena would absolutely deserve to bwait are we really debating this? Hulk Hogan is in the 20s. It's just a list they made for a DVD they made. It's not a real thing.

Technically, this is an official WWE list, so yeah its a real thing or as real as any list will get.
If I'm correct, the WWE superstars themselves voted here. So, HBK and Taker are on top of the list, because they are well respected by everybody. And guys like Hall, Nash, Goldberg and Warrior aren't on there, because they simply aren't liked by their peers. The same might be the case with Hogan. Flair's bad ranking is weird, nonetheless.
Pat Patterson is right behind Randy Orton. Wonder how Randy's uncle feels about that. As for the rest of the list, it looks like something random booking monkey picked out of a hat.
Junkyard Dog is way, WAY too low on this list. Yeah, I know, he wasn't a five star match type of guy, but he had charisma out the wazoo, and could sell out the Superdome once every other month. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Junkyard_Dog He helped make the Freebirds the most hated tag team in the world (at the time), picked King Kong Bundy up and powerslammed him on numerous occasions. He was the real deal. If Bill Watts had the UWF tv deals instead of the mid south syndication when JYD was with him, he'd been bigger than Hogan. (plus, he was Stagger Lee for crying out loud)
Flair would be number one if he wasn't in TNA. Tied with Dusty is just wrong, I think its more to massage current booker Rhodes' ego. I love Dusty, but without Flair and the Horsemen, Dusty was nothing during the 80s and 90s. Shawn has made a large case for himself since coming back in 2002. He had the greatest wrestling second life of all time. Yet, I still think Flair's longevity of doing it almost 40 years straight beats out Shawn Michaels part 1 and 2. Taker has greatest gimmick of all time and for a number of years was the best big man, so I am ok with top 5. Yet, this list really is who pissed off Vince they went down 10 to 15 notches. I also agree with JYD should be higher on the list as well as Trish.

I wonder if having Flair tied with Dusty is a way to also stick it to him, since they never get along.
I assumed all along that either HBK or UT would be number one.
Bruno being one behind Hogan also seems like a jab.

There's no criteria though. It's just a crazy list to put out a DVD. You know who's in the wrong spot? Everybody.
