Actually, I'd say that specifically, Robbie E is awful. Maybe somebody else could do something good with this gimmick, but not him.
It could be Kurt Angle in the role and it would still suck, because it's simply trying to cash in on another TV show that appeals to the lowest denominator. Which makes TNA worse/less creative than the show it is ripping off. And when that show is Jersey Shore, that's saying a lot. Speaking of this, what the HELL did Lethal do to deserve this?? Remember when he was the hottest thing in TNA earlier this year? Say what you will about TNA not using Joe or Pope the way they should, nobody has been used worse over the last few months than Jay.

Yeah, the gimmick's a little TOO on the nose. There's a difference between "homage" and "direct rip-off". And when the best names you could come up with are Robbie E and Cookie, you're nothing more than the latter.
And this kind of treatment is nothing new for Lethal. He had that clean PPV win over Kurt Angle a few years ago and I don't think anyone remembers that, despite them making such a big deal about it at the time (to the point of having the locker room come out and congratulate him). The dopes running the place certainly don't remember that. Lethal's a great company man and it's a shame that TNA has such a short attention span when it comes to him.

Not only that but the people that *do* get the reference are all probably going to switch over and watch the show which airs at the exact same time as the second hour of Impact.
The people that don't get the reference (I.e, the rest of the world) quite frankly won't care7
Impact is reminding me more and more of those Nitros in 1999 and 2000 when the NWO angle was still going on, and going absolutely nowhere and the same old, broken-down egomaniacs were clogging up the screen.
Bishoff is still pretty good at playing the smarmy, smug heel asshole, though. Gotta give him credit there I suppose.
Immortal's music is a "Voodoo Chili" remix!!! Some of the matches had potential to be really good but were ruined by short runtimes and run-ins. The rest of the show was the same old dreck. I did like Pope beating on Bischoff while it lasted. Someone tell Bisch that kicking a coffin isn't going to hurt the guy inside. To quote Allison Danger re: Becky Bayless(Cookie) "Wrestlings not your strong suit honey". So Brooke Lynn aside, when she said she's not a wrestler she more or less was telling the truth. My feeling is that a better idea for Reaction would be to either A) run it at another time rather than right after Impact and add some news content about house shows and Pipers Pit type segments or B) incorporate the reaction segments into a 3 hour Impact that has longer matches.

It's a sound-alike but yeah, pretty much.
If you mean a sound-alike from the song everyone knows as the nWo theme music, "Rockhouse" by Frank Shelley, then yeah.
But Hogan's current TNA theme has older nWo roots than even that. Actually, it's track #1 from the old nWo Japan CD, called the "Original NWO Theme." (I KNEW I'd heard that on Nitro somewhere.) They briefly used that for a time in 1996, I believe, before "Rockhouse" became the nWo's anthem.
Having said that, I kinda like Robbie E and Cookie. They are total trash characters and they are growing on me. The fist pump is a complete douche bag thing to do ANYWHERE and when he does it, I can't help but smile at what a douche bag he is.
She needs to get punched in the face a few times like the little fat chick from Jersey Shore though, to 'Keep it real'.

I was thinkin that the loser of the qualifying matches would not be entered into the Rumble anyway and if they would, it would have defeated the purpose of a Rumble qualifying match in the first place.
