Did anyone catch this last night? A very good show about zombies and the struggle of the living. Gruesome, for television with an ending that made me wish I could jump to next week to see how it's resolved.

Anyone else have any thoughts?

Last night's 1st episode made me feel the same way about wishing I could jump to the next episode and I've read every issue of the comic and "know" what's happening next.

Very well written, acted and directed. Can't wait to see more!

The weirdest thing for me was realizing that, yes, Rick actually should have a southern accent.

I also kept yelling at him because he was doing such stupid things and he should know better!

I was expecting something a little more to happen in some of the bad spots he put himself in to be sure!

Hopefully it retains a large portion of that audience going forward and we get to enjoy many seasons of it!

I thought it was good. The violent and graphic headshots were incredible and were right out of a R-rated horror movie. But I guess they drew the line at showing the zombies eating flesh. Notice the scene where their pulling the organs out of the horse. They just seem to play with the meat and organs in their hands but never bite into it.

The hook at the very end inside the tank definitely has me wanting badly to see next weeks episode.

Loved it. Loved it. Loved it.

I've only read the first trade of the comic, so I'm not as attached to the story as some. I was still captivated. I liked the expansion of Morgan and Duane's story (over what was presented in the first volume of the book). The tank was a nice addition too. When Rick was trapped underneath it, I felt genuine claustrophobia.

My wife hasn't read the book at all, and she was HOOKED. She wants to read my copy of Volume 1, but now I wonder if she should remain unspoiled.

I just wish U-Verse carried AMC in HD. Although, watching it in washed-out SD sort of added to the bleakness of the story.

Finally got a chance to watch it last night. BLOWN AWAY.
I LOVE Zombie flicks so I was really looking forward to it. It actually blew my expectations out of the water.

Gotta say, I loved the half zombie body crawling... just so creepy.

I haven't see the books, so I just have to go with what's on the screen, and what they've put there is pure gold. This got a season pass on my DVR before the first commercial break was over.

This somehow exceeded my expectations. Great debut. Although, I am embarrassed to admit that I didn't know it was 90 minutes , and turned it off after an hour! Luckily I didn't delete it, and went back and watched the rest yesterday after I realized my gaffe.

Got to see it last night. I have been toying reading the books, but I will wait til after the season is over and compare it. So far, so awesome. I am so glad they went full boar on this. I thought this season's Sons of Anarchy was depressing, but this has nothing on it.

Finally watched the premiere. It was a bit slow, but they are setting the table. Top notch gore. Can't believe it is basic cable.

The hospital bit is a bit too much like 28 Days Later, but I had that beef with the comic too.

The tank actually had me wondering if they were gonna toss us all on our head and kill Rick right out the gate.

Both 28 Days Later and The Walking Dead are "stealing" or homaging if you prefer the Day of the Triffids by John Wyndham.

And I didn't realize the music industry was dead. When did this happen? But oh well, putting it out on DVD will certainly show those pirates.
