From Meltzer:

Sean Morley aka Val Venis has been confirmed as returning to WWE. Morley had told independent promoters in the past few days that he would be going back starting on the upcoming European tour. He is at TV today at the Nassau Coliseum.

I don't think any of us ever actively hated Morley as a worker, but for the most part, the poor guy was hampered by the one gimmick he could never escape.

He's probably coming back as enhancement talent on Superstars, but it'll be nice to see Val back. Welcome back, "Rated PG" Val Venis.

I would bet on a return of the "right to censor" type character who tries to shut down WWE merchandise stands and the like.

This makes a lot of sense.

If he had come back earlier, he might have given the SES some panache. Sarena and Gallows just couldn't work the mic to carry the gimmick.

Val Venis was the right gimmick for the right era played by the right guy.

I'm more interested in the hows, whys and what fors of this missive from Meltzer:

Does Lita really want to come back? I did think she looked great in her five second cameo with Pee Wee.

I can't think of a reason to bring Morley back unless he's doing a political character. If he's doesn't, I will be very surprised. (And I thought there was no way to make a Morley return less appealing...)

Am I the only person who thought the RTC was awesome?

It would be typical Vince to have a conservative villain, so why not give Bull a call and get him some paychecks too as the sidekick. (It's the role he was born to play, BABY)

Accompanied by confetti-slash-stolen ballots from Bridgeport.

Hopefully, the RAW GM won't be outed as a boo-hiss caricature of Linda's opponent.

Kane was starting to get cool. His character was finally starting to lighten up. Hey - the guy's awesome. Who couldn't laugh at a 7-footer singing karaoke or puttering around on a little scooter?
