All games Eastern. Game one probables are Cliff Lee (3-0, 0.75 ERA) and Tim Lincecum (2-1, 1.93 ERA).
No predictions from me, I just hope it goes seven games. Home field advantage for the Giants because the (huh?!) National League (what?!) won the All-Star game (they did?!). Love it/hate it, that's the rule.
MLB playoff games that start late at night is a bunch of horse shit. They need to be on during the afternoon so that more children can watch instead of being sent off to bed during the 6th inning.
They also need to find a way to put some sort of a clock in the game, but that's an argument for a different day.
I am excited for MLB for a World Series with fresh faces. I think the ratings in the first few games will reflect renewed interest. I also have no idea what I'm talking about.

Phillies/Rangers would have been interesting to see if the Philly fans would throw dime bags at Hamilton. Either way, Molina is guaranteed his second ring. I'll go Rangers in 6 as Wilson eventually is going to give up a big hit in a big spot. The 'We will post pictures of people wearing Halloween costumes' during Game 3 on Saturday is more likely to cause me to flip to college football than watch the baseball game.

I'm going to go with Texas in 7. I haven't rooted for a baseball player in a long time as much as I've rooted for Hamilton. Yes, I say that and still think that it will go the distance.
On a side note, I'm tired of Halloween and it isn't even here yet.
I have to think the Rangers win, but looking at the Matchups, if the SF pitchers can throw some strikes, I see some possibilities. Clearly, the "Mo" is highly in the Rangers' direction, and Hamilton is playing unconsciously.
Rangers in 5
We'll be back right after order has been restored here in the Omni Center.

As to start times, remember that the 7:30 start Eastern Time is a 4:30 start Pacific. Kids are barely home from school, & the adults have to weasel their way out of work early. B'sides, nobody on the east coast even watches unless the Yankees are playing, right? Much less giving a shit about Texas & San Fran Cisco. :-)
I think we need to put a moratorium on the whole "The Giants don't have good offense" notion, because at this point, I'm sure the Braves, Phillies, and Rangers all would beg to differ.
We're flying a giant orange "CONAN" blimp over the baseball playoffs. Finally, subtlety in advertising. @ConanOBrien

Mind you, those games in San Francisco start at 4:30 local time.

Nicely done, boys! That was fun! And MVP to Renteria -- very nice. Woo-hoo!
As Lincecum takes the trophy, interviewer asks, "How does that look?" "Uhm, shiny." They all seem to be afraid to hang onto the trophy -- it really isn't quite as sturdy as the Stanly Cup. Still, if you break it, you don't have to pay for it!!
