The big question is... Does it really matter? Let's look at the legacy of the show.
Maven still works an occasional indie show but spends most of his time as an "expert" on the Home Shopping Network. Nidia is completely retired from wrestling.
Jackie Gayda works an occasional indie show, as recently as last month, but hasn't been on TV in years. Linda Miles is completely retired from the business.
John Morrison is probably the biggest success story of the show and I assume I don't need to explain what he's currently doing. Matt Cappotelli was forced to retire due to brain cancer.
Daniel Puder had a couple of PPV matches before being shipped off to OVW. He was later cut and briefly appeared in Ring of Honor.
As for notable non-winners...
Christopher Nowinski was brought up to the main roster until he suffered concussion and resulting post-concussion syndrome. As a result, he founded the Sports Legacy Institute, who's research has resulted in changes to both professional wrestling and football. This is probably the biggest "success story" to come out of Tough Enough.
Josh Matthews is currently the best announcer in professional wrestling today and presumably has the record for longest continual employment by the WWE after appearing on Tough Enough.
Kenny King is currently on the Ring of Honor roster after a stint as a jobber in TNA.
Matt Morgan is currently on the TNA roster and is one of the biggest wrestling success stories to come out of Tough Enough.
Melina made it to the Top 25 but didn't make the final cut.
The Boogeyman entertained Booker T immensely.
Skip Sheffield, though currently injured, is still on the main roster.
And, of course, The Miz single-handedly justifies the entire existence of the program.

While they might contact him, I don't see it happening. He's made it clear that he's not interested in being away from home for any length of time. He's also in the process of filming his own reality show in which 8 of his former students return to undergo "intense advanced training". That's supposed to be airing on some Canadian TV station, I believe.

Point taken, but the potential here could be in taking the lone non-gong positive of the entire NXT concept, which was that by using developmental guys instead of people with no training, they could put the contestants on TV and in matches immediately instead of either rushing them before they're ready, or sending them away for their "real" training and killing all their momentum and recognition from winning the show. IMAGINE NXT season 2 living in a house together.
I honestly think Miz would be a terrific choice, not only for the fact that he's "been there, done that" but the fact that he has shown that over time, you can develop skills, entertain, and eventually have your hard work pay off. He's credible in the ring, he can cut a promo with no real catch phrase (unless you count "REALLY?" as a catch phrase.
He's the template for success for a reality show contestant in the WWE.

But he's still developing those skills. He might be okay as the third string trainer but he'd have no credibility as the head trainer. The Miz's entire wrestling career has occurred within the confines of the WWE machine. Sure, the point of Tough Enough is to develop new WWE talent, so that might not seem like a drawback, but I don't think Miz has anywhere close to the experience necessary to be a successful teacher.

I don't know, that Daniel Bryan guy seems to have learned a thing or two from the Miz. lol!
Do they still have Finlay, Arn Anderson and Deam Malenko around? What abput the bald guy trom the previous yeas of TE?
Do you mean Hardcore Holly? Or Tazz?
I'm guessing edoug is referring to John "Big" Gaburick (sp?), who was a behind-the-scenes WWE employee that was something like a 'house mother' for the contestants, who were living together in a rented house. He didn't do any training, but did give the contestants at least one pointed talk about responsibility after they trashed the house partying.
