Let's say at PWI's 1.01 rating, this week's episode scored better than any August episode of NXT. Is there really that many horny men out there tuning in or can we, dare to say it, thank Cole and Josh's comedy? I know it's a little bit of both, but I'm tempted to lean on the latter.
It IS armageddon.
Wonder how Cole feels now that he is starting to become the newest Internet Darling?
Excellent work by InVerse to start this thread. The only detail I haven't noticed anyone mention was that we discovered this week - though I guess we should have assumed it - that Striker can hear Cole and Josh in his earpiece during the entire show, which only makes the way the two of them constantly tear into him that much better.
I was emotionally moved by Cole taking a second out of his gong-powered rant at the end to single out Josh as the only non-Michael Cole thing that he doesn't hate about NXT. Cole/Matthews vs. Striker/Styles for WM! Or maybe even better, NXT4 can be a competition for new announcers/reporters. But they would still have to do the obstacle course.
Primo has been motivated and everything, but now that we know AJ was homeless, fellow former homeless wrestler Edge should step in and take over as her pro.
Power Rankings for the entire WWE roster after this week: 1. Michael Cole 2. Kaitlyn 3. Randy Orton But Only When He's Spazzing Out And Smiling Into The Camera To End Raw 4. Josh Matthews 5. Zack Ryder 6. Michael Cole's Gong 7. Cody Rhodes 8. Randy Orton When Not Spazzing Out Or Smiling Into The Camera To End Raw 9. Heath Slater 10. I don't know, let's say Kane
Bottom of the list: Sheamus, for failing to say both "Bellas" and "Fella" in the same segment on Raw when he had a perfect opportunity to do so.
As much as I'm enjoying the Cole-Matthews Comedy Hour, I seriously have to wonder how the people in charge of SyFy feel about having a 60-minute chunk of their schedule "wasted" every week with a show that even the WWE feels isn't worth watching ...
"All RAW is these days is a cheap version of Saturday Night Live, so if you wanna tune in to watch the amazing star power of Al Sharpton and Nancy O'Dell, go ahead! Who's gonna host next week, Big Bird? Wow, that's must-see TV!" - John Morrison (10/16/09 Smackdown!)
They probably would be more concerned if they weren't getting SmackDown! in a couple weeks. Something's got to air in between, and this is just killing time.
Sing this special song. It's just for you. Dr. Unlikely, Goldust damn sure beats Kane for the 10 spot. Did you see the dude as GoldRegal? Remember the fat sack who showed up with Vader for One Night Only! all those years ago? It's hard to.
I'm goin' with Test. It's his turn, I think. And while this would make me extremely happy, CRZ having to refer to Test as "King Test" for a year would make me even happier. :)
