The 2010 PWI Female 50 made the Internet rounds last week... OndaGrande gave us the 2009 list here (The W), and I can't tell if anybody brought over the inaugural 2008 list or not - put it this way: I haven't found it yet . And I thought the college football poll was stupid, this makes it look like the equation for anti-matter. Michell McCool number 1, is Taker one of the editors. I don't mind putting some controversial stuff in the top ten or five, but you should do that only once in awhile. It seems like every year PWI goes out of their way to name a number 1 when it makes no sense. I also wish they would decide if this is kayfabe or IWC when doing these things.

Michelle McCool has been the Women's Champion or Co-Champion for all but 40 days out of the last 365. If that doesn't qualify her as #1, then I'm going to have to assume you think this list is real.

Layla is too low because she has improved. Tiffany is WAY too high because she has never been any good. Daffney is also ranked too high (ODB and Velvet should be put above her). Jessie McKay should be in the top 50.

Next year's #1- Jamie Keyes with a bullet!

I suspect after last weekend's SHIMMER tapings Jessie McKay will enter the top 50 next year. Her stock improved drastically both in terms of kayfabe and in terms of how well she worked.

Kellie Skater is the best heel no one knows about. She's the entire freaking Holly family wrapped up into one insane Aussie package.

Madison Eagles is the best dancer on this list.

Wow, I had completely forgotten about ODB. The Knockout Division really has become homogeneous.

Other than the somewhat high rankings of Tiffany and Eve, the list is pretty fair kayfabe-wise. Eve got there just from holding the Diva's belt for a short time, and Tiffany more from exposure than actually wrestling. Natalya only lost points because she's not being used. Madison Eagles, Portia Perez and Nicole Matthews should all be higher ,they ARE the Shimmer Champions after all. I'm a little surprised that April Hunter is still on as they judge alot on exposure and other wrestlers who are good workers and deserve to be up there are getting more video exposure.

On a personal note, I am super stoked I get to go see Melissa (wrestling as Alissa Flash) fight Princessa Sugei Sunday night at the Santa Cruz County Fair at a free ProWrestlingRevolution show!!!!

This list is a joke. They ignore the top women's wrestling in the world, the Japanese circuits. I suspect this is only one person putting this list together, just shows you how far PWI has gone.

there was an article on the meltzer site apparently written by someone at PTI about the women's list. I didn't read it, so i can't tell you what it says.

The last time I checked, PWI was an American magazine. Are the Billboard rankings a joke since they only cover American-released music?

Also, I don't think you understand what the phrase "how far ___ has gone" means. Unless you're intending to insult and praise the same magazine within the span of two sentences.

I'm fairly sure the PWI lists constitute trolling of the entire IWC, anyway.

Awesome!

Isn't womens wrestling a joke in/of itself already? The Divas, the Knockouts, Wrestlicious... none of this makes womens wrestling worth watching really.

Forget it Josh... it's Cerebustown.

Yeah... some of the best women's wrestling I've ever seen, from a technical and heat standpoint, was in a little independent federation in Indianapolis. WWE doesn't care so much if you can wrestle as long as you look good. (Certainly with the women, but they've been guilty of this with the men, too. Chris Masters booked to make Shawn Michaels pass out in the Masterlock a few years back immediately comes to mind).
