There's always one, isn't there? 'fess up!
Ten different road teams picked - I'm really surprised.
Sure enough, the home team in the Thursday opener is MONEY (tho', as is increasingly the case in the NBC era, I was very uneasy making that pick).
We'll definitely lop off at least three more this week thanks to head-to-head picking.

Well, anyone who picked Chicago like me is double-happy. A) Chicago did end up winning. B) None of us ever want to pick Chicago again, so we don't have to.

Not only that, but we get lucky on a bad rule and we won't get penalized. Later they might change the rule, but as of now I can stay in this and (as you said) never pick Chicago again.

Thank you, Buffalo, for being every bit as horrible as advertised. That strategy of purposely eating a safety in the final 2 minutes of the game was just inspired! Inspired WHAT, I don't know, but inspired!
Thanks for fumbling away my season. You are all fired.

My hunch is that it won't change; it'll probably be like the Tuck Rule game, where the rule doesn't change, but rather everyone learns the rule as result. Just as we all know instantly if the QB fumbled or not, we're probably going to know if it's a catch or not.

Well, this worked out well. Either Indy was gonna win yet again and I continue on, or my jinx would finally help Houston get over that hump. Houston won and I'm happy.

Just how in the hell did San Diego manage to lose? Damn.
I joined late so couldn't join your league but the yahoo public league I joined is down to half the contestants thanks to losses by the Colts and Chargers.

Vincent Jackson's suspended and wants out, Antonio Cromartie's gone, Shawn Merriman's not what he used to be, they don't have an established running back. This is going to be a very long year for the Chargers and, for the life of me, I can't understand why so many people have them pegged to win the division again. (Well...other than the fact that the rest of the division looks pathetic.)
That's not as true as it used to be when we were growing up. Simmons had some stats guy or gambling expert on his podcast sometime ago and the stats have started to turn on the home teams. Theories include, newer stadiums not being built as close to the field to average fans being priced out to drunker fans being tossed out. Home teams are still the safer bets, and there are still the dome teams, Seattle, Green Bay and a few others that get real loud. I think a west coast team playing an early east coast game is still the best bet. Of course I haven't dug up any stats to support this and will most likely be bounced out next week, so don't listen to me.
