Kids in the Hall cast, now older, but still funny as hell, decided to do a "mini-series". Eight half-hour episodes. Serialised story (not sketch-oriented), slightly dark comedy. Very much Kids in the Hall style though, with the guys playing all the major roles. I think it's great.
Marathon tomorrow (Sun 9/12) on IFC, starting at something like 9:00AM or noon ... depending on what feed you get. DVR it if you can.
We already had it in Canada on CBC, and... no... No... I toughed it out through the whole season, but it wasn't funny, and it made me sad to watch them.

* The kindly town abortionist * The mayor 'reading the video will' * The news team's intro playing over and over, plus their special intro for somber news * The near-total wrongness of Scott's town coroner character
I saw this and... it was okay. It beat my expectations but it still was a far cry from their original sketch comedy show. Worth seeing the once, but I didn't buy the DVD and I doubt I ever will unless I get really hung up on completing my KitH collection.
I missed that! I was expecting him to have a clothespin on his nose, and was disappointed when it wasn't there. Even funnier the second time around. Things I forgot to mention: - Ever increasing dudes with red balloons (those Lost fansites are popular!...
