You know I've been wasting too much time at work checking Mediaite when I'm not surprised at today's logo.

You're a day late. Eid ul Fitr was yesterday, not today.

(The people in charge of figuring it out for North America did seem to change it late in the week for totally suspicious but obvious reasons.)

Conicidentally, I saw this pic in the interwebs yesterday:

I think I'd take yours, but for some reason, I am curious as to how this tastes. I don't think blt's would be the same.

You can't go wrong with bacon. My feelings about it are probably best captured in this (youtube.com) commercial, even though there isn't a Jack in the Box within a 1,000 miles of me. Still, one can hope for a bacon latte. Sorry, vegetarians.

I went to an "all pig" dinner (thedish.freedomblogging.com) at the erstwhile Digestif a year or so ago. Slide on down to the dessert course : a trio of desserts: “Pig in the Orchard” (bacon and apple) bread pudding, bacon-flavored ice cream and bacon pecan brittle. The whole meal was amazing, but the 3 bacon dessert may have won. Mmmmmmm, bacon.

Yeah, my new (terrible) food habit is the fully cooked and ready to eat bacon. I usually will eat all 15 pieces in a sitting. And it has led to a weird exception to my usual rule of only going for name brands. The Oscar Meyer bacon is good, but I actually prefer eating the Acme (grocery store chain in Jersey) bacon.

Goddamn PopCap, I was supposed to do my ironing last night while watching the UFC Fight Night and the first episode of the new season of TUF. Then I downloaded Plants vs. Zombies for the 360. Then it was 1:00 am. I haven't done that in a looooong time.

That can't be what I think it is...

**checks Wikipedia**

Oh, come ON!!! Steve Harvey? Richard Dawson is rolling over in his grave. Well...at least he would be, if he was dead...

Actually, Steve Harvey's the closest thing that they've had to Dawson on that show - and that's a good thing. A bit rough right now but I think he'll grow into the role.

Light years better than Louie Anderson.

3 things:

1- Richard Dawson is so ridiculously overrated as host. He was a drunk groper who added nothing to the Feud. At least Roy Combs was funny and engaging. He would be remembered more fondly as the true host of 'Family Feud' if he hadn't gone crazy and killed himself (and if he didn't bombed in some WWF PPV (Survivor Series, I think) with the HBK jokes).

2- At least he'll still better than Louie Anderson. And Dawson the second time around, when he really didn't give a fuck and was blitz-drunk the whole time.

3- That said, I'll miss John O'Hurley. I don't get to watch 'Family Feud' much these days, but I liked him hosting it the last couple of seasons.

Caught a bit of the new version the other day. I couldn't get Kenan Thompson's Steve Harvey impression out of my head.

Also, the podiums look like ice cream sandwiches.

O'Hurley was really good. I don't think Harvey's going to be as good. Also, I miss the Bullseye round, and the new answer board sucks. On the brighter side, they've gotten rid of those usually-dumb videos where the family introduces itself and tells you what they're going to blow the money on.

Still don't know what to make of the drastic changes on Millionaire, but I suppose that's another thread...

Wait - Richard Dawson's not dead? Crap. You're right. I was SURE he was.

They key off the tag we attach to all our links so you have to click on something here. I think. I'm sure there's some sneaky way to add &tag=thewmessagboa-20 (or whatever it is) to your URL but it's a lot easier to just click from us to them somehow....
