Wow, it's Saturday night and there's no prediction thread for tomorrow's PPV. What is it, folks? Underwhelmed by a PPV built around tournament semi-finals? Displeased that young folks like Kevin Nash, Jeff Jarrett, Tommy Dreamer, and Sabu all find themselves on the card? Not loving the ECW nostalgia? Confused by all the factions? Well, I can understand ALL of that, but here we go anyway. It's what we do.

Kurt Angle vs. Jeff Hardy (Semi-Final match in TNA World Heavyweight Championship Tournament)

Among the many ways that using up RVD's appearances without getting the belt off him screwed things up is that it ended the whole Kurt Angle goes through the top ten storyline. Does he still have to retire if he loses a match? Anyway, they were planning to push Angle to the top, and I see no reason to think they've changed that. Angle.

Mr. Anderson vs. The Pope D'Angelo Dinero (Semi-Final match in TNA World Heavyweight Championship Tournament)

Pope has been pretty inconsistently booked, sometimes seeming strong, sometimes not so much. I'm thinking they have more faith in the other matchup. Anderson. Anderson.

The Motor City Machine Guns vs. Desmond Wolfe and Magnus (TNA World Tag Team Championship)

Not ready to pull the rug out from under the Guns yet. Guns.

A.J. Styles vs. Tommy Dreamer ("I Quit" match)

If there's one of the old guys on the roster who can be counted on to put someone over, it's Dreamer. Styles.

Sting and Kevin Nash vs. Jeff Jarrett and Samoa Joe

I'm feeling like their ought to be something on the line in this match, but I don't think there actually is. That should mean there's no good reason not to let the faces go over, and Joe surely deserves the win. So I'm thinking TNA will go the wrong way. nWo Red & Black.

Douglas Williams (c) vs. Sabu (X Division Championship)

With the X title having been pretty thoroughly neglected of late, there are really worse things they could do than to make it part of the revived ECW faction thing. I mean, I'm not terribly happy that they're doing that thing at all, but if you're going to do it, this would be a good place to give them some momentum. Sabu.

Rhino vs. Abyss (falls count anywhere)

It feels like it's been a long time since Rhino won a PPV match. Maybe giving him a win over Abyss will spur some advancement on finding out who "they" are. Which at least would bring us closer to ending that angle. Rhino.

Velvet Sky vs. Madison Rayne

Odd that they have a women's match, but not involving either of the two women's belts. I'm assuming this builds toward a Rayne/Angelina rematch, so I'll say Rayne.

And that's the card, unless I've missed something.

Well, it's not like TNA had interest in promoting the event. I'm surprised there wasn't an Impact report posted, heh. I know it was bad but I didn't think it was THAT bad!

=Kurt Angle vs. Jeff Hardy
Well, Kurt took the pinfall on Thursday and hasn't retired yet, so I assume that stipulation has been forgotten. :\

Given Jeff's legal problems, I can't imagine him getting the win. Angle.

=Mr. Anderson vs. Pope
TNA seems to be high on Anderson and I haven't really seen too much of Pope that would warrant a championship, yet.

=MCMG vs. London Brawling (Wolfe/Magnus)
London Brawling became the number one contenders by dominating a show that no one sees (Xplosion). As much as I love Wolfe, the team is still new and the Guns haven't had the championship for long. I'll go with the Guns to retain (though, considering how much TNA loves randomly creating new teams and pushing them to the moon >>)

=AJ Styles vs. Dreamer
Uh, Dreamer does nothing but lose and put people over. This is a no-brainer. I'm more shocked that this is a non-title match. Has Styles ever defended the belt since he won it? You'd think that since it's a television belt, it should be defended on every television show, eh?

=Sting/Nash vs. Jarrett/Joe
I predict the concession vendors will win here, as everyone will probably flock to get a drink and go for a bathroom break. Also, it's TNA so we'll probably get like a triple swerve here which will result in the storyline becoming even more confusing than it already is.

=Douglas Williams vs. Sabu
TNA seems to have forgotten about the X-Division, indeed. I can't see Sabu going over here considering the reliability of about half of the ECW stars. I feel Douglas should retain since he hasn't really defended or done anything with it lately. /shrug I want to care about the X-Division but TNA's pretty much killed any momentum it had.

=Rhyno vs. Abyss
Don't really care as I don't really like the "hardcore" stuff Abyss usually does. I'm sure we'll get the usual bumps from Abyss and, considering they're going ahead with that "they" thing next month, he'll probably win.

=Velvet Sky vs. Rayne
Can we get a Knockout's match that DOESN'T feature The Beautiful People? I'm burned out on them from TNA overexposing them. I'll pick Rayne because, why not. It'll probably lead to Rayne vs. Love next month again, anyway.

I thought about whipping up an Impact report earlier today, but I'm still ailing and it just seemed like too much work for a show that I FFWDed through 75% of. So I took a nap instead.

Kurt Angle vs. Jeff Hardy
Angle -- it's a lock.

Mr. Anderson vs. D'Angelo Dinero
So this match is for who face Angle next month. I'm early-predicting that the winner of this match will be the next champion, with an Angle's-come-so-far-just-to-fall-short swerve at BfG, so that means Anderson, I think. Anderson and Angle already had one of the best TNA matches of the year so this could be good.

MCMG vs. London Brawling
Weird thinking a Guns win is a sure thing. Nevertheless.

Sting and Kevin Nash vs. Jeff Jarrett and Samoa Joe
Joe betrays JJ -- either walking off or re-joining Nash & Sting (Main Event Mafia 2.0!!!). Jarrett gets pinned.

A.J. Styles vs. Tommy Dreamer
Styles.

Abyss vs. Rhino
Rhino, with help from ECW.

Sabu vs. Douglas Williams
Sabu, but with screwiness preventing him from getting the belt -- Fourtune interference leading to DQ, or something.

Velvet Sky vs. Madison Rayne
Has Sky ever NOT been a bump on the road to someone else? Rayne. (Best part about this current angle: Lacey von Erich seems to have been totally forgotten.)

I'm skipping the show. Too much ECW for me.

It depends on what is on TV or if I go see Machete tonight if I am going to get this. Probably not, since even I am bored of the EV2.0 storyline.

Kurt Angle vs. Jeff Hardy.

-Kurt. Minus Jeff's legal problems, the storyline is built for Kurt to win the belt at the next PPV.

Mr. Anderson vs. D'Angelo Dinero.

-Anderson He faces Kurt in their MOTYC rematch.

MCMG vs. London Brawling.

-London Brawling. I don't think they know what they have with MCMG and will use them to get others over.

Sting and Kevin Nash vs. Jeff Jarrett and Samoa Joe.

-Jarrett and Joe. Joe should destroy everyone before, during and after the match. That is the only acceptable outcome.

A.J. Styles vs. Tommy Dreamer

-Tommy. I am not a big fan of it, but I can see it happening to keep EV2.0 strong while continuing their feud with Fourtune.

Abyss vs. Rhino

-Abyss. It will be long prodding and fairly boring.

Sabu vs. Douglas Williams

-Doug Williams. Sabu can eat the pin while still looking better then most of EV 2.0 and most of the TNA roster.

Velvet Sky vs. Madison Rayne
-Velvet. Sets up for tension with Love.

Kurt Angle over Hardy
Mr. Anderson over Pope
MCMG over London Brawling; Chelsea almost leaves Desmond...AGAIN
Nash and Sting over Jarrett and Joe when Joe turns on Jarrett and sides with Nash...rinse, wash, etc.
Abyss over Rhino
Velvet over Madison via DQ
Doug Williams over Sabu

Angle d. Hardy
Pope d. Anderson
MCMG d. London Brawling
Nash & Sting d. Jarrett and Joe
Abyss d. Rhino
Styles d. Dreamer
Rayne d. Velvet
Douglas Williams d. Sabu

This is such a boring card that I can't even be bothered to attempt wit here.

Annnnndd.. London Brawling is *off* the card:

Important Update: Due to a personal issue, London Brawling (Wolfe & Magnus) will not be at tonight's No Surrender PPV. However, based on their strong showing in a recent non-title match on iMPACT!, Generation Me will now get a shot at the gold against the Machineguns tonight on PPV!

http://www.tnawrestling.com/news/item/2153-news-change-to-tonights-ppv-lineup

Loved the stuff that we got from Gen Me vs. the Guns on Impact but I'm still going with the Guns to win.

(And, with that, let the speculation of London Brawling go forth)

Earlier this week, I posted my version of how I hoped Survivor Series would play out - especially with the 6-man tables match. Looks like I was right about D-Von and Buh Buh reuniting and hitting the 3-D for the win. Good to see. http://wienerville.
