I can't believe there hasn't been more True Blood love this season. Last week's episode was amazing with all of the stuff that went down (the big showdown at Sookie's, Eric Northman staking Talbot, the Bill/Russell skirmish). This week's episode was almost sure to be a let down. Mostly, it was, until an absolutely phenomenal final scene involving Russell and the news.
Franklin and Russell were what the show needed to get it going back in the right direction after the awful story with Mary Ann last season. I'm totally digging it this year.
Am I in Horseville? Because I'm hearing nothing but naysayers!
This show is at its best when it heaps on the crazy, which it did this week.
Early on this season, I was afraid the show was heading into "Every character is miserable, thus I am miserable watching them" territory (a trap Alan Ball fell into with Six Feet Under). These last few episodes have really turned things around.
The Jason/Crystal storyline still makes me want to punch things, but I have faith it's going somewhere.
True Blood is one of my 2 favorite shows (Dexter being the other) and right now, the show is doing a nice job building and leading up to something with Russell and his quest for dominance.
And as for the Jason/Crystal storyline, I have a feeling it will be going somewhere (OK, I cheat; I wikipedia'd True Blood to see what potentially is or could happen).
Episode 10 was pretty good and only 2 more episodes until the season finale and I am more curious than ever how the season finale will end up.
As a new viewer of Doctor Who, how is it the Doctor travels through time and doesn't have to worry about any butterfly effects? Hell, Clara was caught in several pictures that the little kids she babysits found and that doesn't affect anything at all.
