Remember when Shawn Michaels came back and everyone talked about how horrible it was because a single bump was going to leave him paralyzed for the rest of his life? I'm pretty sure his bump count over the following 8 years made it at least into quadruple digits, including flying off of ladders and through tables on multiple occasions.

Granted, a stroke is generally much more serious than an injured back but as someone pointed out when Bret first came back, Tedy Bruschi suffered a stroke and came back to the NFL, even making it to the playoffs and breaking his personal record for post season tackles. Strokes come in varying levels, some people never recover and others recover to the point where you can't tell there was ever anything wrong.

With all of the problems that Vince McMahon has had with the Hart family, I don't believe for one second that he would allow Bret to get in the ring without the most thorough doctor's examination available. Bret may not look particular good these days but I think that has less to do with having a stroke and more to do with being 53 years old and spending the better part of a decade out of the ring. I think the talk of Brett being gone because he was training was legitimate because he looked noticeably better on Monday Night than he has recently.

Have you ever watched PTI? Its all based on gut instinct and reading the tea leaves. There is only a few points of fact like Miz is an active member of the roster, so he gets a higher percentage then anyone. HHH is high due to the importance of the match, the stage where its being held and of course, the fact we have seen people come back from injury early ie Edge at RR and so on.

Danielson has a high percentage due to the fact a no-compete clause has no bearing if WWE wants to hire him back. Plus, he won't be the only wrestler to schedule something far ahead and then cancel at the last minute. HBK and Rock are at lower percentage since they are not on the active roster, but Cole dropped hints about them through out the summer. Rock is a bit higher due to his comments earlier this year, but that could just be fan service and he has no real intention of doing anything. Austin might as well be on the list too, but his recent interviews for Expandables seems that he is done.

As for Vince, I should maybe moved him up to 50% helping Nexus since it would make sense for the Vince character. Yet, I just don't see it being him. There, I explained the percentage, does that make you happy? Christ.

Well, you explained the percentage ... but I don't think you quite grasp the idea of definition of what a percentage is. I think what you're looking for is odds, not percentage, and it's written in a different way. A percentage in this situation *must* add up to 100%. Technically, that should be every option combined, since if A happens, then by definition B does not.

I understand what you're trying to get across; you're just using the wrong means to do it.

Is Miz so awesome he goes up to 125%, or is there a 40% chance he does both? I don't know, because you go on to say both are unlikely to happen (usually represented by numbers less than 50%.)

I'm not good at statistics, but according to the post, isn't there also a 10% chance that Vince, Triple H, Danielson, and The Miz will all be the 7th man to stop The Nexus?

Either way, my money is on Triple H, although I would love for it to be someone like The Miz, as the face pop whoever shows up gets if this is done right could really be enough to push them to the upper card.

The odds are quite low.....but man, if the Rock came back the roof would collapse.

Triple H is still hurt, so he's out. That leaves;

- Bourne, which would be awesome but anti-climatic.
- Miz, which would be AWESOME.
- Danielson, although I wouldn't be shocked if they save that for later on.
- Another free agent who we haven't talked about yet.

Either way, I'm really looking forward to the PPV, to the point where I might try to sit down and watch it.

I've been out of the country and missed the last two episodes of Raw. I scanned the writeups, but I'm still a bit confused. Has The Great Khali been definitely ruled out for Sunday? If so, interesting that so many people saw that for what it was when they first named the team -- someone to be a sacrificial lamb in the name of intrigue.

The one thing you may not have taken into account is the primary yesterday. Now that Linda won the nomination, timed with the fact of H's surgery a couple of weeks ago, they may well be keeping H out until the Rumble, which is conveniently AFTER the November election, thus sparing Mrs. Mac any embarrasing questions on why her son-in-law is bashing people's skulls in with a sleghammer. What kind of message would that be sending to the kids!?!?!?!?!

Let's just pretend for a minute that Dwayne Johnson would be willing to work something with WWE this summer. Plausible enough.

One of the 3 biggest names in company history is going to appear for your company. And there's people who think that WWE would bring him in unadvertised?

If/when the Rock is coming back for more than a cameo, it will be advertised to high heaven.

As much as we IWC nerds would love to see him back in that role (myself included), does the rest of the WWE Universe (TM) care about him enough for that "surprise" not to come off as a let-down? "Oh hey, that 8th NXT Nobody that hasnt been seen or heard from in months is on Team Cena now. Whoopee."

I thought the whole time they should've used Mark Henry in that "add you now, cut you later, surprise folks with your replacement" role. I wouldnt have seen it coming as easily as I saw Khali's eventual departure. Even when they teased his allegiance (whose side is he on???) for awhile, it still came off silly to me because I knew it was only a matter of time before he got the boot.

I'm pretty interested in seeing this PPV, I'm just too cheap to pay for it.

Bringing in a SmackDown guy would be a nice way to let the Nexus angle bleed over to that show. The angle has been framed as being for the future of the WWE, but only RAW is so far threatened.

Christian, MVP, and Swagger seem to be free of Summerlsam angles right now, and they're the highest profile guys on that show not currently chasing a title.

I believe last night on NXT, they detailed the injuries he suffered on Monday and said he wouldn't be able to compete Sunday.

Absolutely. Rock's return would guarantee what, 50-100,000 extra buys? More? Surprise returns are for Raw, not (usually) PPV. And this would be the mother of all returns. Same can be said for HHH, although not on the same scale.

You totally blew off my question about the Miz.

The same case really can be made for Triple H; he's not the same level of star and it's not near the same length of absence. They can get more mileage out of his return if they actually advertise it. I know they've done it a few times with him, but they've done it a few times because it's made them money doing it that way and might do it again.

Plus, Triple H's real big feud is with Sheamus. They've actually been teasing that one since Sheamus put him out, so it'd be out for him to come back involved in something not directly related to Sheamus.

I believe every odd was measured against itself happening or not happening, not against each other. So it checks out! I would rather see him do the PTI roleplay bit though. lotjx you are Rosa Mendes, what're you thinking.

... so does that really leave Bourne and Danial Bryan as the last two "logical" choices, because I really don't think either is going to be excite the average viewer.

Do we assume that this is all tying into the mysterious GM as well, or is that just something they've decided to let ride for awhile longer?

WWE hasn't promoted the match around the 7th guy though. It's all about WWE vs Nexus with that as a subplot. On NXT it was just a lingering question like "are they gonna go 6 on 7? I guess so." So it could just be Miz as teased and they wouldn't really be underdelivering anything.

It all depends on how they bring in guy #7.
If he walks out with them, and stands on the apron, it's all "oh ok. Its Bourne..." or whoever it turns out to be.
Even the Miz would be just ok in that way.

If they have Cena cut one of those silly (but effective for the crowd) promos where he says they'll just go with six, then have him be the face in peril (like only him against 3 Nexus guys) and Bourne runs out and be all house-a-fire, people will love it.
I think at that point they'd go nuts even if it's Michael Cole.

If they play it right, that's how they go about it.
