Really? Its good, not great. Once again, when WWE does something good and finally logical, its deemed to be the second coming. They did an awesome job building leading to Mania this year and in the end, most of Mania was forgettable expect you know the MOTY candidate that was the Main Event . I was in and out of asleep through Raw so what I did catch I thought was good. The crowd more then made up for whatever problems the show had like Jericho/Edge's sudden realization to join Team WWE. Nexus taking people out was sensible and finally gets them to be the threat they were at the beginning of this. Melina being back is a good thing, hopefully they will feud her with Gail or Natalya. Sheamus/Miz/Orton continues to be the best part of the show for me. The episode built to the SummerSlam match which it needed to do. Yet, only five matches for SummerSlam if they add Dolph/Kofi seems a bit weak for the second biggest PPV of the year. I expect Nexus/Team WWE to be the Main Event and go about 45 minutes to an hour. Whoever the mystery partner will be for the WWE if it isn't Miz will be the new GM.

I wish you would embrace using paragraphs the way you embrace being contrary just for the sake of it.

My favorite part of the show was NOT anything to do with the Nexus/Team WWE-angle, though that was really great (which I know because lotjx says it wasn't). Instead, I LOVED the Sheamus/Orton-part of the show. That was Randy's most pure babyface-ish promo he's done and it was much better than I thought he would do, and Sheamus is just fantastic.

I appreciate that the Nexus was going to put a 7-on-1 beatdown of Cena no matter what, but it would've been nice to at least have them TRY to circle the ring like lumberjacks are supposed to, even for a couple minutes.

I wish the Miz would've turned down Cena and Bret right then.

You seem determined to debate the merits of Wrestlemania in places where nobody is discussing the merits of Wrestlemania. Seriously, the proportion of your posts which include a comment along the lines of "WM was a one match show", "NXT is getting shitcanned in a couple months" or "gosh darn it I dont like John Cena John Cena is so stale and sucks and did I tell you he stole all the punctuation marks from my keyboard" is truly staggering.

Indeed it's (that's, I T apostrophe S) rivalled only by the likelihood of you telling us that you didn't really watch the thing that IS being discussed.

Shockaroony!

I thoroughly enjoyed the show. Sheamus and The Miz are both on fire in their respective roles right now (as, to a lesser extent is Randy) and the whole night built really well towards the main event with Nexus against Team WWE. Or at least those who were still standing. Poor Khali. You.....won't be missed actually. Sorry.

A criminal oversight! Sexist pig that I am, I'd generally rather they forget all about the Women's division, but if Divas we must have then more Gail is the way ahead. She's aesthetically pleasing, wears a sinfully low volume of clothing and can even wrestle a bit. I love me some Gail Kim.

She needs to move to SmackDown to keep LayCool busy until Beth Phoenix comes back.

Well, they did get attacked by Nexus during the tag match. Again. Maybe they just got tired of that.

I had the same thought until I realized, if they circled the ring, then we wouldn't see all 7 NNNNNNNs on camera at once. It's important to get the word out about NNNNNNNexus.

Gail needs to move to Lucha Libre USA so she can have matches with Amazing Kong again and (this is the important part) there are not entire one hour shows built around Rhaka Khan.

The genius of this angle isn't the fact that they've built the match to make $$$$$; it's that they've taken 7 NOBODIES and made them BY FAR the most hated heels of the last few years.

And Ive turned around on the Sheamus experiment...that fella has turned out to deserve the push.

What a fantastic Raw! I was also reminded of the Canadian Stampede with the shaky hard camera. That confrontation felt really special.

That crowd was INSANE at the end. And I can't help but shake the felling Morrison is turning heel, he's growing that beard out even more.

Morrison is the only member currently of Cena's team who isn't a former World Champion of some sort. Even R-Truth has been NWA World Champion.

On the other hand, that squash of Regal and Ryder was the most effective Morrison has been in forever. He busted out Paul Burchill's flipping Rock Bottom (did that move have a name?) and he actually hit Starship Pain. The beard is doing wonders for the Shaman of Sexy.

I heard it referred to as the C4, but I don't know if Burchill (or the announcers) ever actually called it that. I can't wait to see what kind of ridiculous Doors-inspired name Morrison's version gets.

I contend the WWE's ECW Title was not a "World Title". Now, this is not a hill I necessarily wish to fight on or die on, but these things I believe.

Anyway, if and when The Nexus beats Cena's team at Summerslam those seven nobodies will have overcome a team with 33 World Titles between them. (34 if Morrison's ECW (ahem) "World" Title counts, 35 if the Great Khali were still in the match.)

The name for the move might not be Doors-inspired. They named another Morrison move recently, his bicycle/Pele kick, and they've called it the Flash Kick, which is a shout-out to Guile in Street Fighter. Unfortunately, since coming up with that name, Michael Cole has been applying it to his Flying Chuck kick instead. That's the problem when you name too many moves, the announcers get confused.

Burchill called the moonsault/Rock Bottom the C4 when he was wrestling in British independants. He only used it a handful of times in WWE, because as he was usually a heel I don't think they wanted him to be too flashy.

I wondered if he'd keep the Flying Chuck now that it's a crucial part of Dashing Cody Rhodes's repertoire.

I didn't watch the show until this morning but I used fast forward minimally, so that qualifies it as a good show for me.

Michale Cole may have redeemed himself in my mind when Lawler mentioned that John Coan might be failing to admonish Alicia for pulling the hair because he was a little bit intimidated by her and Cole responded "I understand that official is very intimidated by girls."

Also, since I was too late to comment on last week's Raw thread (I got behind and ended up cramming the last 2 Smackdowns, + last week's RAW, NXT and Superstars into one viewing Sunday), to those who were complaining that Nexus haven't been going after titles, weren't they banned from title matches for 90 days? (I assumed partially so Barrett's guaranteed title match wouldn't be competing on air with The Miz's MITB contract.)

While valid arguments can be made for both sides, and all arguments would be equally pointless, I tend to side with the World Title side because there was at least one occasion in which the WWE, World Heavyweight and ECW champions faced off in a triple threat match, implying that the ECW champion was on equal footing with the other two. (And while there's ample evidence that the ECW title wasn't treated like a world championship, one could dig up dozens of instances where the WWE and World Heavyweight championships weren't either.)

At least he had good taste.

They have a long way to go, then, since his losing streak is only up to 5 weeks, and that's including two weeks that he wasn't on Raw.

Not to mention that it was only slightly over 2 months ago, on Raw, that Bourne got a clean pin on Sheamus. He also beat Jericho via DQ on Raw after that. And most of the losses he's had were still competitive. He looked good against The Miz, was the last man eliminated by Nexus in the 7 on 7 match. Bourne may not be receiving the Sheamus megapush but he's clearly being pushed up the card.
