And is there ANYONE who really wants to watch Tommy Dreamer take the kind of bumps he should have stopped doing at least a decade ago?
***Raises hand high and proud***
Tommy Dreamer is ECW thru and thru! A Raven vs Tommy Dreamer match is the MAIN EVENT that Hardcore Justice should have!
I personally also think that Tazz is gonna return to the ring one last time, I really do... so my dream card would be as follows:
Main Event: Tommy Dreamer vs Raven RVD vs Jerry Lynn Sabu vs Tazz Rhino vs "Old School" Steve Corino Mick Foley aka Cactus Jack vs Sandman "The Franchise" Shane Douglas vs Al Snow Johnny Swinger & Simon Diamond reunite to face Balls Mahoney & Axl Rotten & bWo REUNITES
I think Taz's neck is pretty much gone, so I doubt we'll see anything other than choking someone out.
The show dropped off this week with the only really good thing being the tag match. This series would be getting huge props if TNA didn't have such a bad reputation.
Eric Young and Orlando Jordan have no business taking up time on Impact.

I THINK it's "Extreme Version 2.0". I think.
I was thinking "Extreme Violence 2.0", but I suppose it doesn't make much difference. Perhaps we're giving them too much credit even assuming it stands for something.
How about "Eat Vegetables 2.0"? Someone finally is thinking of the children....
Tag Team wrestling is so great, I'm glad that it can be seen somewhere at least.
When did TNA cage matches start including climbing finishes? I assume thats what Beer Money was doing, but I always remember Tenay saying TNA cage matches weren't "climbing contests". I always liked that about their cage matches.
Tag Team match was the shows best segment. TBP was second. Sarita/Angelina 3rd and Abyss's promo 4th. The Fortune segment and end of the show were ok but the rest was just crap. Sarita is actually all kinds of awesome when she wrestles someone good in a promotion to actually give a shit about. she just had to dumb it way down to a) work a TNA match and b) work with Angelina who is a decent but not great wrestler. I do agree that all the KO's except Hamada and Dafney are dressed either trashy or just plain badly. I think it has alot to do with the whole southern metallity of both TNA management and their actual fanbase (which is more Hooters crowd than wrestling fans.) Once Daff and Ayako leave in September There will be 2 less reasons for me to watch at all.
Originally posted by John Orquiola Speaking of stupid, who is dressing Sarita and Taylor Wilde? Their ring gear lately has to be a rib on them because it makes them both look horrible. Sarita's, ahem, amply low center of gravity, was squeezed into a bottom about two sizes too small. On a "cookie cutter" WWE Diva, that would probably look hot, but on Sarita, it was kind of disturbing. Taylor Wilde meanwhile shouldn't have bought Christy Hemme's old ring gear at her yard sale. Those are two Knockouts who actually aren't best served showing copious amounts of skin.
I wasn't planning on commenting on this show until I got to this very important issue. I did not see the ring attire last night so I can't comment, but Sarita is by far the best looking Knockout on TNA. Sure, some of the others have bigger boobs for anybody that likes that sort of thing thing but they also look like they've been beaten with the ugly (kendo) stick.
Originally posted by JayJayDeanSadly, when I flipped to it the Divas Knockouts match was happening. Wow, they suck. Actually, I thought they had potential but I have a new appreciation for the way the WWE doesn't stretch what the Divas can do, wrestling-wise.
Since I'm defending Sarita, this comment says more about TNA than either of the wrestlers. Sarita, in my opinion, is the best female wrestler in either company. Angelina is good enough. But it's sort of like being a good player on a bad sports team, sometimes the suckiness gets contagious. Also, it was two minutes. Make a list of 10 good 2 minute matches and maybe I'll concede the wrestlers didn't do their job.
Originally posted by Matt TrackerAs I watched the Fortune segment, I was most impressed with Robert Roode. I remember when he was marketed as the biggest free agent in TNA, and he interviewed old-school managers. I still think they missed the boat by not pushing him to the main event then. I think he still has "it."
Roode and Storm both have "it" as characters but their in ring ability as singles wrestlers is about 1/4 what they are capable of as a tag team.

No, it really won't.
I have no problem with what Kaz said. At one point in time Kaz was pretty hot. He was leading the X division (when it was still good) and also wrestling Christian and Angle and never looked he didn't belong. And the rest of Fortune vs. NXT? No contest.
I'm guessing MCMG/Beer Money will lead to an Ultimate X? It would make sense considering MCMG would have to win match 4 and then would get to choose a stipulation. I hope they put over the fact that MCMG leads Beer Money in Ultimate X appearances 18 to 0 (but they probably won't).
Is the Dreamer/ECW nostalgic? Sure. Can they cut a decent promo? Sure. Would I rather watch this than say, an appearance by Hernandez, Lethal or Samoa Joe? Nah.
Edit: Also in Sarita's defense, she's a high flyer who isn't allowed to use those moves because she is a heel. Now that I think about it, Angelina is a better heel. Their roles should be reversed.

Actually, they announced on the show that match *4* would be Ultimate X. Not sure what that leaves for Match 5 on the free-per-view. I'm betting that they'll at least make reference to the Guns being more experienced in that match.
Am I overanalysing things or did Hogan (in a very subtle way) kind of say: Yeah, right, ECW could have been to the 90s what I was to the 80s, IF I wouldn't have still ruled the 90s with my NWO stuff!?

Odd choice to do Ultimate X as the 4th match. What are they gonna do for the grand finale? Ultimate X or a cage match would have made the most sense.

Pretty much and he would be correct. Dixie's comment that ECW was to Wrestling in the 90's what Hogan was to Wrestling in the 80's was a rather absurd comment. She doesn't have much of a clue as Cornette has stated dozens of times.

Two out of three falls match? Iron Man Match?
2/3 falls would just feel so anti-climatic. Iron Man would be cool, but it seems like they are usually reserved for more technically grounded guys like Kurt Angle, Bret Hart, etc...

It - uh - has the correct number of syllables so when the crowd chants "ECW," they can say, "no, no no, they're chanting 'EV2.0.' Listen carefully!"
They should have called them something like the Extreme Competitors' United Union, so fans could chant E C DOUBLE-U.

It will be of the Guns' choosing if they go to the grand finale, and it would make sense for it to be the Elevation X, though I hate that match and the absurd concept behind it. TNA has been remarkably consistent in picking the order of the matches in relation to the characters involved. (i.e. Guns choose Ladder and Ultimate X, Beer Money choose streetfight and cage)
Iron Man(Men?) would work way better, and so would 2/3 falls. The Guns could defend it by saying that they want to go "Old School."
Steel Asylum? Nah.
Does Beer Money have any signature match? The Guns could challenge them to that type of match, so that they can beat them at their own game, so to say.

Don't you think its sort of odd that this whole thread is about who would be better in the main event in Wrestlemania, and none of those being discussed are even wrestling right now?
