Here's the thing. When you go to WWE.com and actually VOTE, you get ONE choice. And they have decided not to let you vote for the guy with immunity - which seems like it will really sabotage his ranking when he gets zero votes from the fans - unless that's their intention... Naaah, they ain't that clever.

But that wasn't my point. Here it is:

I don't care about your rankings of the seven men left - you can take care of that with your reply over in the other thread (The W) - what I want from you is your ONE vote. Who got your vote?

WWE gives them in strict alphabetical order, so I reproduce it here.

Alex Riley
Eli Cottonwood
Husky Harris
Kaval
Lucky Cannon
Percy Watson

As a purely unscientific sampling of Folks Posting In This Thread, who did you vote for?

(I'm assuming you did vote (poll.wwe.com) - if not, why not go ahead and do that as well?)

I voted for Eli because I felt he needed my vote the most. Hey...it's as dumb a reason as yours, I bet!

Husky Harris. I like his look, LOVE his grin, and he was *way* down on the Poll last time.

I guess McGillibuddy is just completely left out of the poll...he can't win or lose due to "immunity."

I voted for Kaval, because as someone paraphrased his promo last night, he'd have the best matches. And his Lay-Cool pairing has actually turned out to be fun and not humiliating as expected.

I see potential in Lucky. I'm not convinced that he's ready for prime time, but I think he's got more than we're seeing.

(Clearly it *should* be Kaval, but (IMO) Vince isn't likely to really give him enough work to get over in the way Rey is.)

Husky Harris

As a fan of Superstars, I should go with Kaval but Harris just seems to be light years beyond Kaval as far as character development. Does Kaval even have a character? I only saw his X Division Championship run as Senshi but even then I remember absolutely nothing about him outside of his ringwork.

I agree.

In a way, I see him as the 2nd coming of Rey Mysterio.

Kaval doesn't need the help. As long as he doesn't choke a ring announcer with a necktie he'll be fine. But really, when you start off with a name like Husky Harris, you need all the help someone can give.

I vote for Percy in hopes that, if he were to win, he would immediately drop the character and announce he adopted the gimmick to win votes. Having done so, he spits on the fans. Utter reversal of supporters and haters. The loud jeers of all the children. That's what I want to see. His gimmick is so odd that I hold it in suspicion.

Watson and Kaval don't need my votes, and I don't really care if Cottonwood or Cannon get eliminated, and McGillicutty's immune.

So that leaves Harris, who I will admit has been growing on me, and who's in danger of elimination.

But screw it, I voted Watson. Oh yeah!

Percy Watson is the second coming of The Godfather and The Hurricane -- the guy that can serve as a reliable PPV curtain jerker. That's not a bad thing. Godfather and Hurricane were gainfully employed for a long time.

I'm going with Watson. Oh yeah!

Well, now, that's one way to look at it. It's not exactly what I'd call "WWE's Next Breakout Star" though. I'm more looking for somebody with the potential to become a top tier guy. Or at least high up in the midcard. I don't consider half of the current season's pros to be in that category, but that is what it is. (Not everybody can get a Jericho.)

WWE's next breakout star? Dashing Cody Rhodes. That entrance, that music, the mirror linked to the Titan Tron - this guy is going far!

But since he's not eligible for voting, Kaval.

What "character" does Rey Mysterio play? Has he ever cut an interesting promo or won anyone over with a charismatic personality? No. He's the little guy in the mask who flies around and sometimes beats the big guys. He's also Mexican, dresses up as lucha versions of Superheroes, and we found out he has a family, including a daughter who acts better than he does.

Kaval has a deep voice and can speak in a more interesting fashion than Rey Mysterio ever could. Besides, Lay-Cool thinks he's adorable.

I probably wouldn't vote for Rey Mysterio in NXT either.

But Rey Mysterio has been one of WWE's biggest breakout stars of the last 10 years. It's almost as if NXT was a flawed process.

Rey was already an established star before coming into the WWE and he arrived with much hype, so I'm not sure that he really qualifies as a breakout star. He's certainly a much bigger star than he was in WCW but I don't know that he ever particularly "broke out."

Chances are, I wouldn't have voted for Rocky Maivia, The Ring Master, Randy Orton or John Cena, either. Their initial characters were extremely boring. Hell, aside from coming with a built in catch phrase, Michael McGillicutty's character isn't terribly different from John Cena and Randy Orton's debut personas which were all about Ruthless Aggression.

Kaval is an excellent wrestler but that, in and of itself, isn't enough to make him a breakout star. How long did it take Chris Benoit to breakout in the WWE? Eddie Guerrero didn't truly breakout until he really developed the Lying, Cheating and Stealing persona. I liked both of those guys and I like Kaval but at this point in time, outside of the ring, there's little to be interested in.

When I think breakout star, I think someone who can bring a good deal of everything. I made my pick based on who I would be most interested in seeing involved in a main event program. Kaval would most likely put on better matches than Husky Harris but I think when you look at an entire program, including the promos and storyline, there's so much more potential for Harris than there is for Kaval.

The way the WWE works, you're going to have far more opportunities for interesting programs than you are for great matches. If it were a matter of watching one of them wrestle a 10 minute match every week, I'd absolutely for for Kaval over Harris but that's now how it's going to work, so my pick was based on who I most expect to enjoy seeing on WWE style programming.

The most shocking thing to me is all you guys are watching this show. I must say I haven't even considered it.

Despite my rankings in the other NXT thread, and solely for the Jim Duggan/Steve Williams 3 point stance into the obstacle (well, that and the phat ass senton), I voted for Husky Harris.
