Saw a few places saying that the Hard Justice PPV will be featuring strictly former ECW stars and match ups. Supposedly Tommy Dreamer is the one responsible for booking the show by himself.

Not sure if this could actually turn out to be a great thing or not. I mean, the first One Night Stand was great, and IMO should have never been drug out of mothballs for a ONS2.

But, with former ECW guys, and THE ECW guy booking it, who knows how great this COULD be.

Just like you said, WWE already did something like this. Five years ago. And it was awesome. But two of the guys involved in that original show are still under WWE contract (Rey Mysterio and Chris Jericho), and three are deceased (Chris Benoit, Eddie Guerrero and Mike Awesome). So... I dunno. Plus, obviously, they wouldn't be able to use the ECW name.

Is the WWE shrugging off TNA's use of material owned by Vince?

The whole thing is going to be a difficult balancing act of making the fans know it's ECW without actually saying ECW. Apparently the ads on the PPV channels have a recording of fans chanting EEE-CEE-DUB, which probably could be an issue if WWE wants it to be. I think they're even playing off the "One Night Stand", calling it "One Last Stand".

I'm going to laugh if they get stuck with a cease-and-desist the afternoon of the show.

Read it and weep, fella

Other than RVD and Tommy Dreamer (kinda), how many former ECW-ers can even still "go" AND arent under contract with WWE?

Ugh, just no. Stop it. ECW died a slow and shitty death years ago. They kept bringing it back and it only became less and less special as time went on, until it was a pathetic farce of a C brand. Not that it was ever originally more than a C brand, but at least it had personality. This is something people need to let die.

Has Shane Douglas burned his bridges with TNA? Sabu should still be able to move....same with Justin Credible (though I read somewhere he's a chef now or whatever). As Hansen9j suggested, too...let's get Tajiri back for a go round, too.

Can still go and former ECW:
Rob Van Dam
Tommy Dreamer
Stevie Richards
Raven
Rhino
Mick Foley (You know he is gonna have a match, might as well put him there)
Brother Ray
Brother Devon
Brother Runt
Balls Mahoney
Steve Corino (just saw him wrestle 2 months ago for JAPW on the same show as TNA stars Homicide & Madison Rayne, so I know they have a working relationship with TNA and could appear)
New Jack
Sandman
Sabu
(Wishful Thinking): Tazz
Lance Storm
Justin Credible
(If he is back in shape): Shane Douglas
Al Snow
Simon Diamond
Jerry Lynn
Tajiri

Just to name a few :)

That list is a lot shorter if you switch it from "Can Go" to "Is Likely To Have a Good Match", which I gather is the actual point.

RVD vs. Jerry Lynn is what they want for the main event, so at least that would be good. That was also the match Paul Heyman wanted for the first One Night Stand if RVD hadn't been injured.

Everything else should be pretty bad unless they book Tajiri vs. Super Crazy, or Nunzio & Tony Mamaluke vs. umm Elijah Burke & Monty Brown.

Again? Really? This can't be for the TNA title, right?

I've now used up all my question marks.

While they might be able to make a case out of the chant being used in a commercial, I really don't think the WWE wants to open up the can of worms that is crowd chants and then have it come back on them when an asshole chant starts up on PG programming and they can't deny responsibility.

I was never a huge ECW fan because the very first time I saw an ECW tape I thought it was so ridiculous that I truly believed it was intended to be a male version of GLOW. Which is even stranger when you factor in that I got that impression from a Raven vs Terry Funk match and was fans of both guys pre-ECW.

However, I'd absolutely love to see Lance Storm on the show for the simple reason that I have to imagine that the amount of money it would take to convince him to wrestle even one match for TNA would be enough put the company firmly into bankruptcy. (Not that I'm hoping to see TNA go under, mind you, but if they're going to do it I'd much rather see them blow the money on Lance Storm for one night than Hulk Hogan for a year or more.)

There's also the matter of the ROH folks appearing on a TNA PPV. I don't think that relationship is cozy enough for that to happen without some palms being greased, and TNA doesn't strike me as a company in a spending mode at the moment.

(I say this because TNA may loan folks out, but they sure didn't want 'em appearing on HDNet.)

Granted that only affects Lynn, Corino and I presume Mahoney at the moment, but it'd be hard to have the "ECW" experience without at least BALLS

More people not on your list:
Danny Doring
Roadkill
Big Fat Mikey Shipwreck
Paul Lauria
New Jack
C.W. Anderson
The Musketeer
Julio Dinero
Judge Jeff Jones
Ikuto Hidaka
Father Jim Mitchell
Uganda
911
David Tyler Morton Jericho
Miss Congeniality
Hack Myers
Jim Mollineaux
John Finnegan
Pee Wee Moore
Is Mike Posey still working for TNA?
Don E. Allen
Lou E. Dangerously
Pitbull #1 (in halo)
Bob Artese
and, of course, Joel "hilarious double entendre" Gertner

Lance Storm won't do it, because he is a paid under the table WWE internet guy who shits all over TNA while praising or what could be considered praise WWE. Or thats the impression, I get. I think going all ECW is not the greatest idea in the world. It would be better to mix in some of the TNA stars with some loose ties to ECW like Kurt being in WWE's ECW and Flair's real life opinion of ECW or at least of Foley. Anything that keeps Hogan and Bischoff off my screen is a win at this point. The real problem I have is doing it in the Impactzone. At least Vince got the ballroom for the PPVS. I just don't see many hardcore east coast ECW fans making that trip.

ECW guys vs. TNA guys might be viable & potentially useful. I can't for the life of me see how ECW guys vs other ECW guys could in any way be a good thing, or anything that could fill out a PPV at this point.

This is incredible.

I think going all ECW is not the greatest idea in the world.
Did you come up with that opinion on your own, or were you paid to say it?

I just don't see many hardcore east coast ECW fans making that trip.
So what if they don't? TNA doesn't sell tickets to the Orlando PPVs.

FINALLY...PWG gets some love from the 500. Sure, guys like Petey and Aries are going to make the list, but it's nice to see four of the PWG 6...Super Dragon (213), Excalibur (334), Joey Ryan (288), Scott Lost (324)...crack the list.
