The Xbox 360 LIVEapalooza DLC sale starts Tuesday, July 6, and runs for one week. There's a lot here, so I figured I'd give it its own thread, rather than clog up this week's new release thread.

Note that if a track pack or bundle is on sale, the individual songs within that pack are NOT (unless specifically listed among the singles that are on sale). This kind of sucks for me because I had already cherrypicked what I wanted the most, so there's not a lot here that would be a great deal for me. But maybe there is for you! Anyone getting anything?

YES! YES! YES! I still have yet to download the Pearl Jam and Red Hot Chili Peppers albums, so it's a great relief to see them at half price.

The problem? The only problem is that there's SO much here that it'll easily break my Rock Band budget. The AFI, Killers, Megadeth, and Tom Petty packs are also on my pull list, which is all going to add up to a major wallet buster.

And that's without even mentioning the mega Creedence Clearwater Revival pack that's hitting tomorrow for a massive 1600 points. Damn you, Rock Band!

Sing this special song. It's just for you.
I already own half (or more) of the RB stuff. This doesn't make me happy. It makes me mad.

That's the price you pay for buying in early, I suppose. I have most of it too, though I did get the Green Day pack on sale, as well as some Lips packs.

Punishing early adopters is something I've come to expect from Nintendo, Apple, Sony, and Blizzard but et tu Harmonix?

I don't really see how it's punishment. You had the songs for a lot longer than someone who's just buying them now.

Well that last comment was mostly joking.

I do find it sad for my wallet that they used to debut a lot of tracks at 80 points and reward you for buying early but now you buy immediately and then watch this happen instead. A lot of songs I have I could have waited on if I knew this was going to happen, and maybe that's what I should do from here on.

Or maybe I'm just bitter from still waiting for "Flagpole Sitta".

I don't know, that Red Hot Chili Peppers album has been out there for about two years now and this is the first discount it's seen. I don't think die-hard RHCP fans would have been willing to wait that long for a half-off discount.

As someone with around 200 DLC songs (including 22 of the songs on sale), I am not going to begrudge the people who waited until some of these went on sale. I will say that I wish there were some kind of return policy for any song by The Cars (they're a good band, but their songs are all pretty boring to play)

I have way more than 22 of them but reading this thread is pure face--->palm for me. Don't post while grumpy, self.
