I was thinking about our WWE Champion Sheamus, thinking what about his visa? That would be quite embarrasing.
Here's what Wrestling Observer has to say about it:
We don't have an update on Sheamus, who was signed around the same time as Barrett and McIntyre, but the feeling from one WWE source is that either WWE somehow caught it and handled it while somehow missing the other two, or he was proactive in bringing it to their attention and they handled it without thinking about the other two. Or I guess presumably he could be next. We'll update later today or tomorrow when we hear more.
Its time once again to acknowledge that Vince can really do no right unless its the Mania build and even then its been mainly a one or two match event.
Yeah. His company sucks at making money. Speaking of which, if anyone knows when Paul Heyman DID, please speak up. Make money, not suck, that is

Yeah his 1.1 Billion Dollar Net Worth (according to Forbes)really illustrates how terrible his decisions are.
I am not saying they don't make money, what I am saying is creatively they only seem to care around that time of year. WWE is the dominant player in wrestling and they had a rather long stranglehold on the business for a bit of time. Heyman is also retired, but when he did have visa problems with Benoit, people were calling him bush league and they are right. When Vince does it, its called a mismanagement. I know people will say Vince can't be everywhere, but Vince has employed a number of different foreign workers. I highly doubt this is a first time they had to deal with visas. If he doesn't know about his wrestlers working status then he needs to. Heyman also wrote probably the best months of Smackdown to date and then got canned/quit when it interfered with Steph, so he did make money it was just on Vince's show which was on a real network on Thursday night.
The solution is simple... as the first UK-born* WWE Champion, Sheamus just needs to say that he's taking the belt back to the UK. They can then shoot Raw from Europe until they get Barrett's visa cleared up. (I seem to recall having read that they were going to be doing some taped Raws in the near future anyway. No word yet on if Mike Tenay will be giving away the results.)
* Going with the WWE's continuity record, you could even call him the first ever European champion (as opposed to Davey Boy Smith who was the first ever European European champion.) It's easy enough to overlook Andre's 2 minute reign and while he was the longest reigning champion in the history of the company, anybody who saw Bruno Sammartino as champion probably doesn't spend their social security money on WWE PPVs/merchandise, thus are irrelevant. (And for the sake of throwing out random information, Kane was born in Spain but is American.)

It's entirely possible to do both things at the same time. Especially on the Internet!
They have an easy out. Barrett was supposed to have been at Titan Towers explaining himself to the Championship Committee. This was obviously a ploy on Barrett's part to become the first person to have them all in one room, and he's no doubt sealed off WWE headquarters from within, taken the entire Committee hostage. They just need to film a few minutes each week of Barrett hitting his finisher on some random jerk in a suit on top of a conference table, or maybe incapacitating security at WWE HQ with knockout gas that shoots out of that flower on his robe.
With the Chairman out of action and the Committee under Barrett's control, the only authority figures with any power left on Raw are the Anonymous GM, missing in action Raw Chief of Staff Sean Morley and the WWE Draft Computer, which could well be the secret identity of the Anonymous GM.

There's a HUGE difference between Heyman and Vince.
Heyman was everything in ECW, for him to screw up is inexcusable.
Vince is the owner of a multi-national company with divisions in every form of media and commerce. He pays someone to do these things and thus they will assuredly be terminated for costing his shareholders $$$.
To compare them is to compare James Cameron and a youtube video director.

Sheamus is not, in reality or in storyline, from the UK. Just picking a nit--it doesn't really affect your point. But Ireland is not part of the UK. (And, unlike Finlay, he's not from Northern Ireland, which is.)
To answer dMp's point, marrying a citizen makes one *eligible* for a green card, but you still have to apply for it.

He what? Oh.
See, he had the right idea, he just did it wrong. Instead of courting Tiffany and building a relationship with her before marrying her, he should had just drugged her straight up and taken her to that drive thru wedding chapel that had "the little cherubs with their weiners sticking out", like HHH did.
Remember kids, the moral of the story is always date rape your boss's daughter. Nothing bad can ever come out of it.

So what you're saying is Wade Barrett is actually The Master, then?

That was a fun couple of days.
I guess if the plan was to give McIntyre the briefcase, I don't see why they can't just have him win it from whatever face is dumb enough to put it at stake. It worked for Edge.
Perhaps it was the Noid who should have avoided me.
Make Chris Jericho the leader of NXT/Nexus and everyone forgets about Wade Barrett. And even if Barrett gets his work Visa back, keep him off TV until Summerslam, then use an Barrett angle to regain control of the NXT/Nexus once the angle starts getting old.
Chris Jericho is talented enough to pull this off plus he's not really doing anything right now.
They can easily say Chris Jericho was the one driving the limo to further put him over on the angle.

You probably don't need to change the fundamental part of the angle just yet here in its first month.
Well... I did happen to see TNA's show last night. The match with Sabin and the oh, so adorable Petey Williams was more exciting than the last six months of WWE combined. No, I'm serious.
