Over the weekend, FLN got rebranded as the Cooking Channel (cookingchanneltv.com). I didn't know about it til my Tivo told me. In many ways, exactly the same as Food Network.
What makes this interesting? Original Galloping Gourmet. Julia Child & Company -- buy the books & follow along at home. Jamie Oliver at Home. Throw in a little Nigella. Supposed to be getting Two Fat Ladies. This is TVLand for the fun cooking shows. :-)
Okay, this makes sense now. I guess I should've seen it coming when Fine Living added Iron Chef: Original Recipe, but now they've reached their destiny of the Food Network on a 10-year tape delay.

This is great news as Food Network was a lot better ten years ago, when they had actual chefs hosting most of their shows.
Watching the old Graham Kerr, the best thing is that things go wrong, & ingredients get lost or forgotten, & he just carries on having fun with the whole thing. Playing with the food is the fun part! Slosh the sauce over the dish, try to remember to remove the strings before serving, have a short slurp, & carry on!
