I don't see Kane winning the Rumble. It would be neat though..
As far Flair-Vince..ofcourse with the match being a streetfight that could mean we could see lots of interference, including Vince's new 'friends' named nWo
Let's hope Hogan runs in, does the big boot, Flair no sells and puts him in the figure four until he has two orange legs in his hands..brudda!

I have no idea who can win the rumble. I think it would be nice if HHH wins it to face Jericho. Hey, don't we all seem to say/think that? Oh well..we'll see.

Hey BucsFan - in addition to the "Rick Flair" sign, did you see the one that had "Whoa" on it?

C'mon, we all know it's "woooooooo" - right, BrewGuy??

First things first, Dr. Unlikely has it right. Last night's Raw was all about Jericho's pants, which rocked our world and any planetary bodies in a 3 light year range from Dallas.
Austin's promos are just amazing to listen to these days, not because he says anything worthwhile, but simply because it's truly watching a virtuoso with his instrument. The crowd would have listened to that promo for 2 hours last night. And for every net reader bitching about it, there's 20 fans in Dallas who had the time of their life playing along with it, which means they will be more likely to come back next time. And HHH, Flair, and Jericho all showed that you *can* ignore the chant and the fans will give it up after a while. Angle likes playing along with it (or so it seems at least) and he does it well enough that it fits into his character.
I've got to say that HHH, while I acknowledge the mammoth crowd reaction he gets, his promos don't really seem to be pulling people in just yet. I don't know if he was filling time or what last night, but it seemed like he wasn't really on last night. Not in a Scott Steiner mangling of language way, but just in a Dean Malenko not really saying anything interesting sort of way.
Where's Rock? I thought everyone said he would be on tv while doing Scorpion King reshoots. Perhaps someone willing to be branded an evil net smark would be willing to propose this is done to keep the heat on HHH instead of on Rock vs. Jericho, so as to justify the moving back down of Jericho before WM. I'd say it, but I already was critical of The Game once, and I know I'll catch hell for that, no need to make it worse on myself.

There, I feel better now.

Woooh, or Woooo..that is the same to me.
But Whoa or stuff like that *shiver*

A friend of mine once noticed the WWF seems to take at least one mis-spelled sign into the camera every episode.
Like they do it on purpose or something..
Remember all the China signs in the early days of dX, etc..

I keep thinking that they are testing HHH/Austin for Wrestlemania. Seeing if the crowd is hot enough for it, so that would mean one of them would win the Rumble. Well I can't see Austin winning AGAIN, but maybe that would be the way to do it so HHH can beat Jericho for the title. I could see a HHH/Austin WM Main Event and that would rule.

As far as RAW, we got a Spinnerooni, all is good. It is sad that the WWF has to use wives to get an angle going between HHH and Austin. Come one, WWF. Where are they going with HHH/Steph? I don't know, but they are going there pretty fast.

There were plenty of good moments last night, such as the flame-o remark, and beer belly lowering of the weight, the spinaroonie, and more.

But there was too much that seemed out of place, or just not all the great.

Was I the only one, by the way, wondering what it meant that FLAIR, a 50 year old guy, was beating up the UNDIS-FN-PUTED CHAMPION CHRIS JERICHO? I mean, what kind of picture are you really trying to paint? They didn't even have Jericho do anything to Flair after they 2-on-1'd him...

Ok, I am at a loss here, what is the fun in the flame-on remark exactly? I know B&G are portraying gay-ish chars, I know flame on is what Torch yells when activating his powers. I don't see the connection/joke here. Please help me?

As for Flair beating up Jericho. Perhaps Y2J didn't expect it? Flair opening up a can on him just like that can be intimidating..so maybe that is why he didn't fight back?

I suppose you have a point, but at the same time, you would think that, as the heel that he is, he'd jump out of the ring and run away up the stage, where Flair would get bopped up there...

I thought the center of gravity line from Austin was great, but I think there are a lot of people who could get in the Rumble if that was the only qualification. I really enjoyed the Angle/Kane match, Kane seems to really turn it on when he wrestles Kurt. Besides that, I can't think of one other decent match. Not a good sign for a 6 days from a PPV show. Not too many feuds got hyped up enough, and way too much Stephanie screeching. She should be there as eye candy, much like Torrie Wilson, but maybe HHH will take care of it and dump her ass because she is annoying.

-That Jericho interview was one of the best of all time. Lance Storm is right, it does take now a lot more effort to get to the fans. But Jerihco did it. Jericho was dicktitude was on high last night, bay-bee.

-Billy/Chuck v. Tajiri/Hurricane, the only good thing about Billy/Chuck is that we get to see Lilian stand there looking so lovely while Billy/Chuck do there gay schtick.. Unfortunatly they are being pushed ahead of guys with stuff like talent or charisma.

Jackie v. Jazz - what can I say, Trish looked hot..

Angle v. Kane - What a great match, Angle is a feaken machine. Heck I'll give Kane credit too. It was a pretty lame Raw till then but this helped.

Regal/Test v. RVD/Edge - i wanted more. Nice match for what they wanted to do.

Booker T v. Big Show - it was a fun match, unlike the match before I liked it they kept it short.

Jericho/Strom/Christian v. Rikishi/Farrooq/Jerkshaw - I Actually thought this was the last segment of the show...LOL... I thought they are going 25 minutes with this?.. It was a nice fast match by the heels. And Jericho could beat midcarders...err is APA even midcarders.

other stuff... Deb had the hardest slap in the buisness, remember her slaping the Undertaker. I'm still shocked how nothing "poped" out during the Deb/Steph cat fight..... Bradshaw is lucky they have a lot of matches in Texas or he wouldn't ever be used for anything.

Line of the night : Christian about Bradshaw "Don't worry he's got now friends"... Now that's a shoot

Okay
1) Jericho. Questionable fashion not withstanding, I think he's doing a good job as a hated Heel Champion (In the great tradition of such famous ones as Hated Shawn Micheals, Hated Macho Man, and of Course the Honkey Tonk Man). The point is he keeps the belt, but doesn't deserve it, its what makes him so heelish.
Also when he said that Bush wasn't HIS leader, I wonder, was this a Reference to his Being Canadian raised (Although I believe he was Born in New York) which means he was talking about a Canadian Leader, and as a Canadian, believe me, Our leadership ain't all that hot. Or was he refering to perhaps Vinnie Mac, or Himself being the Leader?

2) HHH. Every Married guy, Guy with long time woman, or friend of one of these types, will recognize that expresion he had every time Steph was yappin'. I think that if the "bell Clerk" Did give them bad direction that after the night was over HHH Went out, found the guy and beat him to a pulp yelling "You know I had to put up with for twice as long as I should have had to, THANKS TO YOU???"
If I was Triple H, and anyone made my wife angry, I too would beat the hell out of themn, or die trying, because ANYTHING would be preferable to hearing that Shrew bitch and moan!
What Can I say, as an annoying wife, Steph is either a talented Actress, or a natural.

3) Austin. Some okay lines in his promo, but DAMN that word is annoying!

4) Wow, Jackie is still around? Does anyone remember a few years ago when Alundra Blaze (Madussa Micelli) had the Belt, and She was feuding with Bertha Faye, and it seemed like they were the only two women wrestlers on contract. Then, as soon as that feud finished, enter Bull Nakano, and the same thing happened? That's what it feels like now.

If the WWF wants to get any interest or prestige to go with the Woman's belt, make it look like there are more than two or three women actually interested in it.

And Why wasn't Jackie Drinking with teh APA? I thought she was an honorary member or something?

5) Finally....Flair. A lot of People are worried about Flair getting squashed by Vince's Ego.
Doesn't Vince usualy get the upper Hand in these situations, only to get trounced in the Big matches (Wrestlemania Against Shane comes to mind) against the Guy he thought he had beaten? People want to hate Vinny Mac (Which they do) and they want to love his opponent (Which they do) so they feel fulfilled when Vince loses big time.

Picture a few Horsemen coming out during the match to keep things even (Arn, Beniot...uhm..others...)

I`m sure he meant being Canadian. Although not only was he born in NYC, he resides in Florida now.

Which I'm sure he'll bring up next time he's in Canada (and he might have already, I forget). No Bret Hart-esque face-in-one-place and heel-in-another for Chris.

In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if the reason they don't have team CLAC (Test's real name is Andrew, remember?) get all Canada'd out is so they don't become faces in Canada.

I'd keep Benoit as far away form Hogan as possible. Although I'd love to match him up with Nash, just to see if Nash has one good match left in him.
