Welcome back. (I was going to type "Welcome back, niggas and bitches," but that can only get me into real trouble. Hey wait--)
If you missed it last night, and you were curious what 6 or 7 of the Top 10 Trending Topics on Twitter were dealing with last night, look no further than ADULT SWIM, which won't let anybody embed the most recent season premiere of "The Boondocks" (yet - maybe it will work later?) but WILL let me give you a link to get to THEIR site and see it: http://video.adultswim.com/the-boondocks/its-a-black-president-huey-freeman.html
You really owe it to yourself to watch it, no matter what race you are and no matter what your political affiliation. This one's for the time capsule.
Then, go back and find the thousands of real-time reviews over on Twitter...if you dare.
Boondocks and South Park are the two shows that consistently find the right tone and right angle to take for whatever they're trying to satire. This was no exception. Also, I've had "Dick Riding Obama" stuck in my head all morning.
ALSO, Abed was wearing a Huey Freeman shirt on last week's Community. So that made me happy.
It is the policy of the documentary crew to remain true observers and not interfere with its subjects. "This topic is going to suck to read in three years." -Psycho Penguin "Well. Shit." -hansen9j
I had to take Boondocks off my DVR a long time ago because adult swim would say that random episodes at 3:00 or 4:00 in the morning were new and I was getting tired of getting tricked. Hopefully now I can put the show back on my series record list. Yaaaaaaaaaaaaay!

I don't think I ever, at any point, wondered why Cleveland was a black guy that happened to act like a white guy. So I didn't need this origin story. At the very least, we got some decent laughs out of this episode.
