To hell with the critics - most of the newspapers I read gae this one a bad rating, but I went to see it with the girlfriend and our friends, and it was a lot of fun. Gerard Butler has great comedic timing, and Jennifer Aniston continues to impress. Only issue is that the bad guy is completely forgettable, and the entire plot really doesn't make sense. But...still a fun date movie.

I dunno, Oliver, there are some dark undercurrents to this ostensibly positive review.

Conversation between my friend and I as we surveyed the movies playing at the theater before buying tickets to The Ghost Writer:

Her: "Why are there so many bad movies?"
Me: "Because people pay to see them, then tell others they're good."

When I say "To hell with reviewers". John isn't included in that grouping. He's one of the few I pay attention to. He's the exception to that rule, I guess.

That about sums up my feelings on Aniston, who I only liked in Office Space because she wasn't her clingy, whiny self.

Broncolanche - you are spot on. That is the only movie she was in where I did not say out loud "Why the hell does she keep getting parts in these movies?". I know she is good looking (not my type though) but is she THAT much of a draw that she keeps getting these roles? I will never understand the countries love affair with her.

Is that the one with Jake Gyllenhaal? I've only seen clips of it and yes, she did a good job there as well.

Every other movie she's been in? Feh.

It's strange....you LOOK like a spammer and/or autoposting robot (sorta cut'n'pasted, post resembles English but clearly isn't first language - if even known at all, username of the form "namenamenumber" and the biggest giveaway, IP address from Pakistan), but for the life of me I can't figure out where you've hidden your spam, or indeed what the previous assemblage of words even accomplishes, other than to confound.

Let's see if you come back.

It's an Arrow Christmas! For some reason, Oliver decided he really, really, really wanted a Christmas party and he wasn't gonna take no for an answer. And for the first time, I have cause to disagree with my man John Diggle:
