You missed Jeff Hardy in 2007-2009 when he was one of the best wrestlers in the country.
No I saw him on his two year quest to win the title, but I wasn't impressed with him, and other than the occasional Whisper in the Wind or whatever it's called, he's pretty boring for me to watch.
Originally posted by kentishI don't think it's fair to lump Anderson and OJ in the same category as guys like Morley, the Nastys, or Hall. Anderson and OJ are still fairly young and in their primes, and were never overexposed in WWE.
What top guys did the Nasty Boys and Morley go over? Sure, Daniels main evented a few months in a row, but still, losing to Morley one time is not the end of the freaking world.

Originally posted by JBSAlso, nothing against either of these guys performance-wise, but how many more signings do they get before the TNA originals realize there's no more TV time left for them?
They still need something big for March 8th since they already did a bunch of debuts and surprises on January 4. Including Jeff's, I guess.
Plus outside of Cena nobody came close to him in merch sales.

For what it's worth, Orlando Jordan is actually 38.
On the flip side, how many people realize that Jeff Hardy is only 32 (less than a year older than AJ)? Granted, he has the most mileage a 32 year old has probably ever had.

The only way we'll see The Rock on Monday nights on USA for three or four months is if he's doing an extended guest run on Burn Notice.
If that happened I would never watch Raw or TNA ever again. I'd just be replaying Burn Notice on Hulu all day.
Rock is looking fairly likely to do an extended run on Raw, albeit in a non-wrestling capacity. He's been outright saying it for some time now, so claiming that it's all made up is kinda weird. It's certainly no more outlandish than say, Bret coming back for a run.
I can't believe people are defending Orlando Jordan as a good signing.
"Obviously the roster is getting too big and people have to go but who would be on the chopping block? I think it would be possible to do cuts without losing someone major. Creed, Kiyoshi, Sharkboy, Dr. Stevie, Raven, So Cal Val, Generation Me and Red all seem like guys without direction that aren't big losses."
Cutting a bunch of people who are already not on TV at all is not going to free up space for new signings.
I'll say this about RVD. If they let RVD BE RVD in the ring, which he never really got to do all that much in WWE, they'll have my attention for 10-20 minutes a week.

Originally posted by kentish I don't think Anderson has X-pac heat at all. The guy is just over as a heel. Part of that is working with Angle, for sure. But that's one of the keys to the wrestling business: giving the rub to a guy not on your level, and making them look like stars too. Like Flair did with Luger (and Sting) in 1988.
The problem with Anderson is once he's done talking and actually has to wrestle, nobody gives a crap. He really needs to channel some early ECW Shane Douglas.
Originally posted by Psycho Penguin since the TNA guys were getting 1.1 ratings, it's not the worst business strategy in the world. Heaven forbid ex-WWE guys get new jobs too. This line of thinking never ceases to amaze me.
This week, TNA is back to a 1.1. At least the original bunch was cheaper.
I'm certainly not saying that TNA shouldn't be bringing any of these guys in, and it's possible this week's rating will turn out to be something of a fluke, but clearly they aren't making the best use of what they have.

I can't tell if this guy is a grunt working for Vince just to shut up the Internet fans...or if he's really trying to piss off the brass. Look for this guy to be fired within the next 6 months, guaranteed.
