Amazing how a few short years ago, he's a pro bowler and playing in a super bowl. This offseason is starting to look pretty bleak for veterans.

You know, Michael Vick DID express interesting in playing for the Panthers. At this point, is signing Vick that much worse than starting a nobody like Matt Moore?

He revitalized the franchise, and I thank him for that. But he was inexcusably bad since the '09 Arizona collapse.

Just because you've never heard of or don't know much about Matt Moore doesn't make him terrible. Kurt Warner was once a "nobody", too. So was Tom Brady. The Panthers DID go 3-0 in games Matt Moore started for them in 2009 and he completed over 60% with an 8/2 TD/Int-ratio.

In my Madden 10 franchise (I'm not Carolina) the Panthers did the only sensible thing in this situation - draft Tim Tebow. (Moore found his way to the Raiders - far too sensible to happen in real life, I think.)

(Kudos to the first person who does the internet-thing where they say I said "Matt Moore is the next Tom Brady or Kurt Warner." I just said they were in the same situation as Moore at one point in their careers.)

Holy fuck shit motherfucker shit. Read comics. Fuck shit shit fuck shit I sold out when I did my job. Fuck fuck fuck shit fuck. Sorry had to do it....

I can't believe you would go out on a limb and say Matt Moore is the next Kurt Warner or Tom Brady. :)

Wasn't it last offseason that Delhomme got that absurdly lucrative contract/contract extension? Oh well, he's a terrible quarterback, so that's that. I fear for Rams fans' mental health what may happen next.

Delhomme is still getting $12M of guaranteed money from the Panthers. The Panthers are doing it now because there's no salary cap hit in an uncapped year.

This is the best thing that could have happened to Jake Delhomme. He and the Panthers should have really parted ways after the terrible playoff debacle.

If he's not a future Raider reclamation QB I don't know who is.

I think he still has value as a mentor-type backup somewhere in the league. People are so quick to throw him under the bus, but he WAS pretty damn good for several years, even taking them to the Super Bowl (and might have won if it wasn't for their idiot kicker!)

Not sure if the Guardians looked good or if it was because the Vipers were so bad. Vipers uniforms looked uuuuuuuuuuuuuuugly. I liked the kickoffs. Wanted to watch Cardale play, but missed that game.
- whatever, This is the (new) XFL (2020)
