Originally posted by Big BadI don't think Finlay would be actually released, they'd just slot him back in his old road agent job. Regal is a NXT mentor so he's safe for a little while....plus, Regal strikes me as the kind of guy who could also make a great road agent/trainer.
As for Chavo, yeah, you kind of wonder if he's only lasted this long due to residual guilt over Eddie's death.
Haven't they released guys as wrestlers and brought them back as road agents? I figured that'd be the deal with Finlay. I forgot about regal being a NXT trainer, that will save him and Carlito for now. Make another 'shocker' as Swagger then. I do see them releasing some surprising choices and still keeping yang/Funaki/Jesse around. That seems to happen every year.
I miss Maria already. But if I'm honest, I miss her in the guise of her ditz gimmick, which, as mentioned, she hasn't done in ages. I hope they keep Kelly Kelly, she's bonerific.
I honestly haven't seen Hurricane in years, since I never watched a single episode of "ECW". Good luck to him. Now he can do the VERTEBREAKER again! And Burchill, well, I think you're cursed for life once they plan to make you have sex with your sister.

LOL. Well I did say 'for her contributions on tv' We havent seen her do too much there ever since the Santino angle that made me care or think of her
Originally posted by CruelAngel777Has Hornswoggle been on RAW much recently? With DX seeming to fall apart, if Horny is being used less maybe we'll....finally....be rid of him?
Doubt they would get rid of him after being on tv so much, if we don't see him for awhile or he starts to get buried then you might wonder. Plus he's kind of been the Raw mascot for years now.

Hornswoggle has been on Raw for less than a year. It just SEEMS like it's been years.
Edit: Well, he did have that stint as Vince's son also, but still, that takes his time on Raw to a little over a year, not years.

Attention divas: do not participate in reality shows if you want to remain employed (Maria, Stacy).
I could be wrong, but I thought Stacy was quite happy with trying to use Dancing With the Stars as a way to get herself an "real" entertainment gig as opposed to coming back to wrestling.

Agreed. He's the most kid-friendly persona in the company.
Originally posted by Psycho PenguinAnyone wanna predict any other releases? I'll go with Chavo, Finlay, Regal, and in the 'shocker', Shelton Benjamin.
Shelton's not going anywhere now that he's in the MitB match. He's also been consistently underutilized and I don't think the E wants another Elijah Burke situation where they have a guy they've never bothered to use go to TNA and become a major star. (Of course, that probably won't stop them from releasing Swagger.)
Finlay can go back to training the Divas. He'll always be remembered for turning Trish into the greatest female wrestler of the post-Attitude era.
Regal can still be a heat magnet when used right. He'll be fine.
Chavo's long since outlived his usefulness. He's probably next on the chopping block.
Is Goldust already out? If not, he's got to be next.
Why is Armstrong gone? He was the only ref to get a storyline recently (vs. Punk), and I thought they would actually put Bullet Bob in the HOF this year. If that happened, Scott would presumably induct him.
As for Maria...sigh. Kelly Kelly now gets to move up to number one on the hottest Divas list for me. Congrats.

Referee Charles Robinson counts too, I imagine-- he played a heel referee for the Alliance almost as frequently as Nick Patrick did. (And Nick Patrick practically invented the heel referee, at least as far as the Big Two are concerned).
Also, Jimmy Wang Yang's was one of the contracts bought as part of the WCW purchase, only he was sent to HWA and didn't participate in the Invasion.
Christian and William Regal were originally WWF guys who defected to WCW.
Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley was a WWF personality who became the in-storyline owner of ECW.
So... Chavo and Robinson for sure, and a couple people with asterisks.

Shelton being in the MitB has very little to do with him being released post-WM if he does, because people have been released during bigger angles than that.

Still at the 8 year mark with the company, it is getting close to the point where maybe a change of scenery is best for all involved. Maybe he gets one more minor push post Mania, and if that doesn't catch fire, you move on. Only so many Mark Henry lifetime spots are available.

Charlie Haas is still under contract for the express purpose of not being in TNA. I don't see Shelton going anywhere.

As far as Chavo goes,he usually wrestles most of the guys they are trying out and looking to sign. He's capable of selling all the moves, and has enough offense to let a newbie work on HIS selling skills.
Shelton would be a monster in TNA, since the promo portion of their product isn't as important as the In Ring aspect.
Hornswaggle gets a ton of face pop whenever he shows up (mostly kids) so he should be safe.
They'd be idiots to let Swagger go. He's one of the few new guys in the past five or six years that seem extremely talented in the ring, right off the bat.

So, who does Haas, doing his Cena impersonation, job to when Impact goes head to head with RAW?
