And it seems that she won't. After wrestlers like The Rock and Kane have pursued acting careers, it seems that Maria is also finding success from her extra-curricular activities.

"I have an album coming out in April that's going to be available on iTunes. That's what I want to be doing, as well as hosting TV shows. I've recently hosted a few and I've really enjoyed my time on there so I want to continue doing that. I'm doing more and more stuff outside of the WWE, so whenever I come back it's kind of like a homecoming."

It's too bad. She was almost days away from doing just that to help Ziggler win the IC title from Mysterio. But then Rey got suspended, his title win got postponed, and Maria left to do The Apprentice.

Great, another has-been to TNA for the Hogan era. Hurricane probably be X-Division Champion for a year straight. I can't get upset for Burchill cause I don't even know who he is.

Now the Maria thing is interesting (Side note for Divas: Never pose for Playboy either, it's like sleeping with the football team or something. Everyone knows your business and you'll never be taken serious again). I'm suprised she got released seeing as how over she still is. I always enjoyed her ditzy character phase, once she became serious and self-assertive and treated airbrushed unattractive nude pictorials as female empowerment she lost me.

I'm actually suprised Katie Lea was kept over Maria. WWE seems to have no idea what to do with her in comparison. Unless she's next....

Not too surprised with the releases; Maria being released was a little bit of a shock. Expect the WWE to add more releases soon as it close to "spring cleaning".

I can see a few more faces going soon based on the absence of ECW and some people getting lost in the shuffle on Smackdown and Raw.

Helms was coming down the road as well as Burchill. But Maria, that is bullshit. She should have never wrestled and just done interviewing. I guess Vince doesn't want to share too much of the Mania gate since he will be participating and also getting part of it.

I would think that WWE would keep Matt just to avoid a Hardys reunion in TNA if nothing else.

He is the epitome of enhancement talent. He could always win the match, giving his bouts with newbies a little edge.

Then again, they might do well to cut him but encourage him rest up and drop some weight, and then bring him back.

Burchill and Helms were not going places.
Helms in ECW was just a lowercard gimmick and Burchill was even less.
Do they have the skills to put on good matches, sure.
But the gimmick and what not just didnt take em anywhere.

Maria was simply the new version of Stacy Keibler.
Nice to look at, but never more than adequate in the ring.
Her assisting of Mickie and then the teaming with Hardy were pretty random. In no way can I imagine anyone missing her for her contributions on tv in the last year or two.

The top two threads right now have references to the GL mythology in them...Geoff Johns would be so proud of us all.

You're giving too much credit to Stacy. She never wanted to do anything in the ring. Maria learned and improved, even if it was marginally.

How so? Wearing a frilly shirt? Is that really all it takes to make a "Pirate Gimmick"?

Anyone wanna predict any other releases? I'll go with Chavo, Finlay, Regal, and in the 'shocker', Shelton Benjamin.

I don't think Finlay would be actually released, they'd just slot him back in his old road agent job. Regal is a NXT mentor so he's safe for a little while....plus, Regal strikes me as the kind of guy who could also make a great road agent/trainer.

As for Chavo, yeah, you kind of wonder if he's only lasted this long due to residual guilt over Eddie's death.

Has Hornswoggle been on RAW much recently? With DX seeming to fall apart, if Horny is being used less maybe we'll....finally....be rid of him?
