Man, I thought we were headed for a clunker, but as soon as the Cleveland Jr. Revenge Tour began, the episode turned awesome. Loved the subtlety of trimming Cleveland's mustache before simply lopping it off. Cleveland Jr. is single-handedly making this show for me right now, as even Cleveland's starting to get a bit tired, particularly when he tries to be cute and break the fourth wall.
But I'll admit that the show's manatee joke of the Chinese restaurant bathroom was good for a laugh.
Side plot didn't do anything for me, but it should be noted that Roberta's voice actress has been replaced. Nia Long is now in as Roberta, as Reagan Gomez-Preston has apparently been Lacey Chabert'd.
I'm gonna let you finish, but my pink shirt demands your attention!

Agreed. Nia Long sucked. Not nearly "sassy" enough for Roberta. I can say that, right?
What happened to Lacey Chabert? All I could find on Google about her is articles on how hot she is and photos depicting how hot she is.
The Chinese restaurant bathroom scene was HIGH-larious, as was most of this episode.
Hey, what happened to the buff dude with the mustache that hangs out with them at the bar? Did he get the boot?

I think he occasionally hangs out with them, but he more often pops up as Cleveland's co-worker.
Are we sure we've got the right order on Roberta? It looks to me like Reagan Gomez-Preston is the NEW Roberta, with Nia Long being the previous one.
Lacey Chabert was the original voice for Meg on Family Guy, before getting replaced by Mila Kunis.

Having heard them both speak before, that actually makes more sense.

Okay then, just to clarify my earlier point, the new voice for Roberta is terrible, while the previous voice was just fine.
I agree with the majority here. Whomever was the original voice for Roberta, the new one just totally sounds out of place. They didn't need to change her voice. It's not like Family Guy, where it was necessary to swith Lacey Chabert with Mila Kunis, though if I remember the first season, the Meg character was really whiny and unlikeable. Once they toned her annoyances down and just made her a loser instead of a bratty teenager, the new voice really took off. Roberta was just fine as she was. The show has a lot of problems, but she wasn't one of them.

I like the show. What problems do you think it has?
I like it too, but it really seems inconsisent at times. One episode can be really funny (the Cherry Bomb ep where Cleveland dropped the freestyle rap) and another can be a total turd (the Thanksgiving ep with Auntie Momma). Also, I find a couple of characters to be total dead weight like Holt. He's barely done anything memorably funny, IMO. And I would like to see more emphasis on Roberta. It still feels like I know very little about her outside of her relationship with Cleveland and the family.
Maybe I'm being unfair because I'm trying to compare it to FG & AD. I still find FG to be one of the best shows around, despite its ups and downs. And AD almost always delievers a top notch episode these days. Anyway, it's just one man's opinion.

I'd say that the show's biggest problem is that it doesn't do nearly enough to differentiate itself from Family Guy. The two of them feel way too much like the same show to me, which is an even bigger problem because the two shows are on one right after the other. It forces the comparison, and for some people it's easy to get burned out on too much of the same thing.
I'd also be interested to hear what any black viewers think of the program. While I am admittedly a white guy, just coming from my perspective, Seth MacFarlane doesn't do anything on this show that makes it feel authentic in any way to me. A lot of times I feel like the show comes off as really condescending, but I'll admit I may be reading too much into it.
